RE: Susannah Gordon Interesting. I just finished documenting the Lamkin Cemetery here in Cole County a couple of weeks ago. Is she related to any of those people there? Also...there are Gordons buried in the Woodland/Old City Cemetery here in Jefferson City. One of them is a Revolutionary War veteran. Is she related to any of them?
RE: Susanna Gordon This cemetery is in terrible condition and I was unable to find her tombstone. Several of the tombstones I did find were in pieces and had to be dug up and pieced together. All of the information I have on her, including "Consort of James Gordon of Halifax County, NC", came from an enumeration done in June 1933 by Mrs. Madge McHenry. I'm assuming she was listing information found on the tombstone inscription.
RE: Armilda Lewis Lowry Hi! so nice to meet you. One of Armilda Jane Lewis Lowry's granddaughters was named after her. Armilda Jane Magee Loveless Find A Grave Memorial# 57508421. She is the daughter of Myrtis Pearl Lowry Magee. I need to rescan that photo of my great grandmother AJLL. The one I posted online is pretty blurry. I have the original I guess I just tried to copy it through the glass or something? My email is email@example.com I'm not on ancestry but am always interested in what others have posted. Have you seen the Lowry information posted by my 2nd cousin AJ Loveless' son, Jeff Loveless? http://hiddenancestors.com/clarkky/family/fr077-lowrey.htm Jeff passed away a few years ago and I'm not sure who is maintaining the web site now.
RE: Alvin Lewis Hello Gloria, nice to meet you. Sure use the photo. That photo is one my grandmother had, Ida Lewis. Can you send me you email> I might have other photos you can use. And, I'd love to see what you have on the family. Thanks for writing Steve
