I am Peggy Ann Rowe-Snyder. I am contributing here because I believe in respecting those who came before me and to teach my kids about community service in all it's forms!
I've been into genealogy and history since I was about 15 when Root's came on TV. I'm a member of several historical societies, and genealogical societies. I am on the board of Directors of the Douglas County Historical Society, Douglas County, Oregon. I co-edit and write for the Umpqua Trapper. I just really get into this. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
For several years I had been taking pictures of headstones and donating them all over the place. But this place is the best, and from now on my photos will go here. I loved what I found for my family members here too... It was quite nice.
I'm glad to be a part of the community!

I noticed you have created quite a few of the Glendale Memorial Find A Grave pages, and wondered if you could check on someone for me. John Howard Giesbrecht died in Josephine County 7 Dec 2011 (born 30 Aug 1937), and his obituary says he is buried in Glendale Memorial. There is no memorial for him, but I would love to locate him and get a picture of his marker. I spent 20 years doing Josephine County cemetery research (and am still doing it from Idaho), and I sure miss being able to hop in the car and "run out" to my cemeteries, including Douglas County! Thanks for all the work you're doing.

Yes, I see that you and "my" cousin share your same HALL / MUNDEN set of great grandparents. You match them on Chromosome 3 ... I match "our" cousin on Chromosome 20 ... quite likely two completely separate but "close" matches. Close only in the sense that we can actually separate the matching it appears. That segment of yours on chromosome 3 is very likely tied directly to one or the other of them. Mine is tied to the SMELSER side of the matching. Thanks for the information and the assist. Glad you are sharing your skills with all.

Hi Peg ... John Smeltzer here ... I note that you are a triangulated match to one of our Isaiah SMELSER descendants out of Oregon. Would love to chat further.
Hi Peggy, thanks for transferring Winnie and Roscoe to me. I checked out the Pegrowe website link you mentioned in your profile, good writing, and keep up the good work!

May I refer you to LARRY WYATT #47052059. His DAVIS research is very large and well documented.

Just noticed a note on Carrol Laverne McClaskey and wondered how you might be related. (I am his niece.)Thanks for your work. It has been helpful in filling in my tree.
