Bio

I have been a genealogist more than 50 years ago (1966), researching the families of Butler County, Al. That is the only way I could learn about my Alabama family because my parents moved to West Texas so my dad could find work in 1950.

Since that time I have learned much, but have much to learn. I fear that the passage of time is against me as so many of my family are now gone and most of the younger generations are not interested in family heritage. Still, I search hoping to tear down walls leading to information, one brick at a time.

I am a professional photographer and have recently started taking photos of Butler County families markers that moved to and died in Texas. In doing this, I hope to help other genealogist who may not have the opportunity to actual visit a cemetery where their relatives are buried.

Surnames: Stinson - Black - Morrow - Sims - Stringfellow - Smith/Smyth (3 sets) - Owen - Marsh - Brannon/Branum - Eidson/Hitson - Perry - Wilson - Jordan - Lawhorn/Lowhorn
