I live in Stillwater, OK.
I love doing research on Payne County, Oklahoma and surrounding counties.
Due to the death of DonZas, I am managing the memorials in Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater that he posted. I will be keeping all of the memorials that are in my family tree. And, believe me, there are alot of them.
However, if you wish for me to transfer a memorial to you, send EACH request through the "EDIT" - "SUGGEST A CORRECTION" Link on EACH person's memorial. Please allow time, because I get alot of requests each day.
REMEMBER the Find-A-Grave RULE states:
Transfer requests should be for DIRECT RELATIVES WITHIN FOUR GENERATIONS. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Uncle, Aunts, Cousins, nephews, mother's brother's first cousins, well, these don't count as a direct relative. And, yes, this part is included in the rules.
E-mail me if you have a question or if you have a request that I haven't already uploaded.
I have 2 books called "Cimarron Family Legends" vol 1 and 2. These books contain information that has been compiled by families that settled all around Stillwater and the surrounding towns of the Cimarron River in Payne County. I can look up information on families if you will send me the family name and any other information that I can use. Just e-mail me with the request.
Also, I have photographed and transcribed Ripley Oak Park Cemetery and Mt. Hope Cemetery near Ripley, OK. I don't transfer these memorials, but I will add the information and links if you ask me.

Hello Pammy, I submitted an edit request to add his complete date of death. I also added a photo of his newspaper obituary and a photo of the flag of his civil war regiment, the 144th NY Volunteer Infantry. Thanks for having created his memorial. Paul Turner

My husband is related to the Merritt family that is buried in Osage Cemetery.
Does anyone know who the parents of W. M. Merrett (b. 10 JAN, 1867 & d. 28 FEB, 1953) are?
|Eileen Simcox||Estella Easley Osborn Tate #53448522|
I was wondering why you think Estella is the daughter of Solomon Jones Easley and Jane Webb? I have all of their children in my tree except for Estella. She does not appear in any of the Census for this family. Her name can't even be confused with the middle name of someone listed in each census and her birth year and initials are not a match either.
I'd hate to leave her out if there is proof that she is their daughter.
I also own a copy of "The War Intrudes - Solomon Jones Easley, and the American Civil War", by Sid Easley. Estella is not mentioned anywhere in the book along with the other children.
Thanks for your help on solving this mystery,
|Ryan Young||Ernest Claypool Young Sr Fairlawn Cemetary|
Hello! You are listed as managing the grave of my grandfather LTC Ernest Claypool Young Sr. I am the son of his son Ernest C Young II. Also listed on the grave page. Your page says you are managing everyone in your family tree? Are we related? I have a lot of information about these people that you might be interested in.
Have you seen the grave? Is it well kept?
|Robert P. Higdon, Jr.||Sarah M. Stewart|
I believe this person to be my Great Grand Aunt. Everything I know about her so far leads me to believe so. Her half brother is William Thomas Higdon who died in Okmulgee, OK about 1907. I was wondering if you could get me a picture of her grave stone. Also is it possible to see if she had a mention or obituary in the local newspaper. If this is my aunt she was born in McMinn County, TN in 1864. The family moved to Elk City, KS where she met and married a Charles J. Stewart. During the land rush in 1889 she moved with her husband and stayed in OK until her death which was about the time listed. Any help will be appreciated. I live in Maryland so it not easy for me to check on this.
Yours in genealogy,

Great work on the Wards! I admire when a job is done that good not just thrown up for numbers. Really nice.
|SheWoreLemon||Sarah Jane Ricker|
Would you be kind enough to check your book for Sarah Jane Ricker?
She was married to Hiram M. Ricker (who I believe is the son of Lewis Straw and Lydia Ricker of Payne Co.)
Hiram and Sarah Jane Emmons married in Douglas Co, KS on 22 Nov. 1890. In 1900, they are listed in the Mound, Payne Co., OK census.
I know from a newspaper article that Hiram Ricker is running a sawmill in Joseph, Union Co, Oregon by 1906. I can't find him or Sarah on a 1910 census.
I believe Sarah died in Oklahoma before 1906 but I'm not sure (can't find a grave).
She was born 1844 in Michigan. Her maiden name was Prout. Parents were Silas Prout and Betsey Prine. Sarah's other married names: Palmateer, Turltott (Tourletotte) and Emmons.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

This is my great grandfather, he was born in 1879, his youngest brother Benjamin was born in 1882. They were orphaned in 1885 and he was 6 years old at that time. There are more children that he and Sarah had including my grandmother Mary Margaret Pointer Davis.
