Bio

I love genealogy and have been at it since 1976
I freely share all I have bought paid for and researched I feel that no one should have to redo pay for records that have already been purchased by me and given to me by others now all deceased to further my research. I am tired, I am old and there is no one to leave my research to when I no longer can or die. I have in essence been to hell and back since Nov 2016 I have been caregiver to 3 friends who have died June & Dec. 2018, the last April 2002 one had been in nursing home since Dec 2004 dying Dec 2018 after a full right side stroke, the husband was diagnosed in Nov 2016 with not making red blood cells. Requiring weekly transfusions of 1 or 2 units of blood till he died and the son was diagnosed with stage IV-B non small lung cancer affecting lymph nodes from diagnoses. And Dec. 2021 2 brain mastesies round trips of 200 Miles to Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis. Many a night since Nov 2016 I went without sleep, during winter fires the woodstove every two hours. Since 2019. Been cleaning up 5.3 acres of weeds, brush , trash, and 210 ton of scrape metal with help of only one friend alienist to the end. To add to the mix I had to demolish my 120+ year old home and rebuild process was started in April 2020 and it's been one hell of a roller coaster ride and still not completed landscaping, no real furniture, or bookcases/shelving. and I really not sure if I will be able to afford it and keep it. I thought with my heart and my sentimental memories. Genealogy these last few years when I could it it was my sanity. I can sit at the computer and fall off to sleep and still be typing ... So I short fused and cranky about a lot of things

I am a heavy researcher of Greene county Indiana ancestors. I have an abundance of material for the county - all four cemetery transcription books for Greene county, microfiche, books, indexes, census abstracts, county histories, genealogies dealing on a surname; I also maintain a website on Greene county Indiana genealogy. I also have the 1980's county history for Monroe county Indiana and Rose Hill Cemetery records.

I was also InGenWeb County coordinator for Greene, Owen and Sullivan counties from 2004-2012.

I also have done several manuscripts - McKee, Vandeventer, Hardesty, Mansfield, and Bays, Carmicheal to name a few.

My Greene county Indiana ties are deep the surnames being: McKee, Vandeventer, Dye, Gastineau, Turley, Long, Sexton (on my fathers side); and Emery, Edington, Hardesty/Hardisty Williams, McWhirter/Mewhriter, Ault, and Mansfield (on my mothers) side.

My motto is share and spread what I have found around - if it had not been for others "sharing freely" over the years I would not have what I have today - tho yet I have had to hire research done to get what I have but willing to share it a also as I know it may one day lead to the clue I need or the needed data that is missing on my end.

I am one day hoping there are more willing to share on the Burns-Thomas lines of Ayrshire Scotland to date all this has to be hired done and its done only in a direct line of descent unless a family member just happens to be living in the same residence during the census of Scotland

I have up dated the section on John Emery from the "Rev. Rufus Emery, Genealogical Records of Descendants of John and Anthony Emery of Newbury, Mass. 1590 - 1890, The (1890, Salem Press and Printing Co., The Salem Press, 1891)" as Judith Elaine Burns, Compiler, Revised Genealogical Records of The Descendants of John Emery of Newbury, Massachusetts, The (1982, Gateway Press Inc. Baltimore, Md.), 82-83136 Library of Congress. Revised from the Genealogical Records of the Descendants of John and Anthony Emery of Newbury, Ma. (1891) Rufus Emery.

Best of luck to all on their genealogical quest and hope you find all you need to complete your family histories.
