Bio

Growing up we (my sisters and I) never had much family around. At least none that were close in our own ages nor anyone from my father's side. One day out of the blue, my father introduced us to his brother (our Uncle)and his wife and daughter. That was the first time I really realized that we actually had some real family around. This all happened when my father first took ill...just never realized (as a child) just how serious it was at the time.
Just before my father passed away, he told me that we had a brother but that he did not know where he was or anything much about him. I was 14 at the time and was shocked once again. It was at this time that I decided I wanted to know about my family ties and just where I came from.
Since then I have located our brother and we have a wonderful relationship. Also found many other family members and one that has touched me more than I can explain is that of a great Aunt who was very fond of my father. She is now passed and was a big loss to me as she had so many family stories and secret she shared with me.
Today I am seriously into genealogy and get a great pleasure at helping others with theirs. Thought that since I visit a good deal of cemeteries in my travels that I would also add other headstones along with my own...just in case there is someone else looking for their long lost ancestors. That is why I decided to help out with Find A Grave.
Should anyone find anything in error or may there be something you would like to add or rather not see on a listing, please feel free to email me and will make neccesary changes. If there is anything else that I may be able to help someone with...email me.

Best regards...

Laurie
