Bio

I guess we've all ended up here for the same reason -- researching and documenting family history. A contribution I found here broke down a brick wall I've had for a while. I decided to start contributing my own information, hoping that what I have may help someone else.

I live in Stafford County, Virginia (near Fredericksburg), but I can and have gone all over doing my research. If you are working on one of my surnames in one of my areas, I may be able to help you. If you need a photo of anything from around here, I'll take care of it.

I am currently researching the following:

My family made the migration from Virginia to Kentucky, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, and California in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, so I have relatives all over. It's ironic that after all of this, I ended up living within 10 miles of where my Virginia ancestors lived in the 1700's.

Surnames: Armstrong, Carothers, Floyd, Morris, Leckie, Stevens, Toalson/Tolson, Crowley, West, Todd, Brady, and others.

My husband's family pretty much stayed put in the area surrounding the West Virginia panhandle, with a little bit of Virginia, and some Pennsylvania and Maryland thrown in for variety.

Surnames: Hilker, Bradshaw, Hess, Grubb, Miller, Gregory, Delancy, Clohessy, Gillinger, Hensell, Harbauch, and others.

*** If you have ANY information on Harrison Bradshaw, 1814 - 1901, married to Sarah Catherine Lohr, I will be very grateful. ***
