|Marion Librarian||Sheets Cemetery Decoration|
Just checking to see if the decoration is scheduled this year as planned on the first Sunday in September. Some of my relatives from Virginia and I are thinking about coming down for it and I wanted to see if you knew of any changes for this year. Also, is the driveway off the Blue Ridge Parkway the only entrance, or is there a better way to get into the cemetery? Thanks for your help, Lois Tilson

You are so welcome.
|Charlie Weaver||Elizabeth Naomi Weaver Boggs|
The headstone that you have for her is actually for her son, Edgar Winfield Boggs. I checked his birth and death info and it is definitely for her. If this is her headstone then she had a child a couple years before she was born--that's a great mystery all together. Just wanted to pass this along to you.
|Linda Lenhard||Aley Hubbard Miller|
I have been trying to help people understand that Aley Miller and her daughter and son, Josephine and Elihu, are not buried at Kelly's Chapel Cemetery. I don't even believe the area they are buried in is in Washington Co., but it is in Smyth County. I may be wrong about that because I haven't been there in a long time, but we can see from the photos you uploaded to her memorial that it is not in a chapel's cemetery.
Now, please correct me if I'm wrong about this. I have been to the grave several times. It is in a corn field. I believe the land once was owned by Josephine and her husband and they moved there after George Washington Miller was killed.
I think if someone wanted to find the grave sites, they will be sadly disappointed if they go to Kelly's Chapel Cemetery and can't find them. Please help me to think this through. I am on the right path, aren't I?
Thanks for listening to me. I just want it to be correct.

Very helpful. Thank you. After a visit to Sheets Cemetery to complete the photographing, we will figure out if Sheets, Andrew should be merged into Sheets Cemetery to clean things up. I may come back to you later to ask for directions to the other 2 Sheets cemeteries you mentioned if that is OK. Regards

Ricky- Thank you so much for the directions. I feel certain I can find it given how precise they are. I hope to get there before the weather turns too bad.
A couple of other questions if you do not mind.
1) Sheets Cemetery- It appears that it may be completely photographed but I am not sure? That is, are the unphotographed memorials there either without engraved stones or belong elsewhere?
2) Findagrave has another Sheets Cemetery- Sheets,Andrew Family Cemetery. The directions sound like it is a duplicate of Sheets Cemetery but the memorials placed in that cemetery are not duplicates. Can you shed any light on this?

Thank you for responding.
I live just west of Boone so any route from Boone would be fine.
Thank you very much.

I am interested in visiting this cemetery and noticed that you had posted some photos a few years ago. Would you be willing to provide me with some directions (as precise as possible!)?
|Marion Librarian||RE: Sheets Cemetery|
Thanks so much. I hope to make it this year. Lois
