|Shirley Kimbrell Williford||Martha Jane Williams|
Are you sure she was the daughter of Benjamin Cody Williams and Martha Ham? She does not appear in the 1870 Choctaw County census with her father and 6 other siblings.
|Logan||Certain S. Earnest (Memorial# 26960575)|
I was wondering if you could tell me more about Certain Earnest and his family. I saw that he was mentioned in his father's will in 1814. I am a descendant of his brother, Jacob Earnest (1796-1861) and I am trying to piece this family together. I am specifically trying to figure out where they all lived in Warren / Simpson Counties in Kentucky. I am also looking for any possible connections to Thompsons in the area. However, any information you could provide would be useful!
Thanks a lot. Sorry for the double posting.

|Portia Solomon||RE: Garner Families of Montgomery County, Mississippi|
William, I believe that Daniel Garner and Celia (Selah) Heslep are the parents of my John W. Garner. I have POSSIBLE children of Daniel and Celia as Irons, Thomas H, John W, Andrew Whitley, and Dina. But I have no proof or documentation, only guesses. I do know that Andrew Whitley Garner went to Florida.
|Judy Lucas Wood||Walter Alson Redd Memorial # 55529215|
I was wondering if you have any information on the spouse of Walter Redd. I understand that he had children but I do not see the name of his wife. He is an ancestor of mine. Thank you!
Sincerely, Judy Lucas Wood
|Patricia Dacus||RE: Latham Families of Montgomery Co., Miss.|
There are some Latham family articles and many references to the Lathams in other family articles. Give me a couple of days to get back with specifics. I don't know if these are the Latham men you are researching but will send you everything anyway. I also have "The Families of Choctaw County". This goes back to before Montgomery County was formed and there are Lathams in there also. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Please send me an email so I will have that and will send everything in emails or attachments. Looking forward to helping if possible. Pat
|Patricia Dacus||Mary "Polly" Hunt Braswell|
I have submitted an edit request to link Polly to her parents who are buried in Barkers Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Honea Path, Anderson County, SC. A few years ago I helped my cousin Carol Hunt research her ancestors and she visited their graves in SC. She is descended thru their son William Sanders Hunt and his wife Amanda Braswell.
Also, I am confused by the tombstone of Anderson Braswell and Betsy Braswell in Poplar Creek Nations Cemetery in Montgomery County, MS. Anderson Braswell only had one wife, Polly who he married in 1841 in SC before they moved to MS, and she died in 1872. The grandchildren erected the tombstone years later and I assume they mistakenly had Betsy put on the stone and the death year of 1870 instead of 1872.
|John S||ara shaw shaffer ancestors|
Hi William, in her description, you wrote that Ara Ethel "Shaw" Shaffer was the wife of Allen Frederick Shaffer. She was the daughter of James K. & Martha Caroline (Leverett) Shaw. Granddaughter of Archibald W. & Edney Shaw of Choctaw County, Mississippi.
I am also descended from Archibald and Edney Shaw through another child. I was wondering how you obtained the information of lineage tracing to Archibald and Edney, and if you have any other information concerning them.

This is my 2nd message to you Walter. Both concerning Joel Joines. He also was NOT a son of Julie Ann Gordon? Joines. The 1820 Census shows Thomas Joines wife as being in the same age range as he was. Both he and his wife are in the 26-45 age range. And Julie Ann would have only been 20 years old in 1820. Per census records from 1830 to 1870, she gives the year of 1800 as her year of birth. Except on the 1870 Giles Co it appears to be 77 but it appears to me to say she was 71 & not 77. Check for yourself, by checking the other 7s the census taker has listed, plus the other 1s on that same page. I believe that George W. Joines was Thomas & Julie Ann's first born child in 1822. Joel,[1811-1890] & Rebecca Joines Hickman, [1813-1845] were his first two children, there were more listed, but not yet identified or died young? Darlene White Cole, or SuzyQ
