My mother taught me a love for researching family history. When I discovered FindaGrave in 2006, I thought it was a brilliant way to help others search for family members and learn a bit of history along the way.

It is important to record information that has been passed down to us for the next generation to discover. I am thankful that I can link photos of ancestors onto their memorial pages. I enjoy knowing how family groups in a cemetery are related to each other (by the linking feature). I also have ancestors who were killed in ways where the body was lost or the final resting place has no marker. I am so grateful that I can create memorials to ancestors who have no other physical marker remaining for them on earth. What a great tribute to those who came before us!
