NOTE: Only on RARE occasions will I link my pages to memorials marked as "burial location unknown." The whole point of Find A Grave is to document and record burial locations......if the location is unknown, there is nothing to document. I try to make note of the names of family members that would be able to be linked (if their burial locations were known and documented) in the bio section of my memorials.

Please make sure when sending me suggested edits that you send me your source/s as well. I do NOT make edits without the proper documentation. You may email me directly, or use the "Suggest Other Edits" feature on the memorial pages. I no longer have the Find A Grave messaging system enabled on my account, but have no problem with any Find A Grave contributor contacting me via my normal email.

[NOTE: Evidently I need to reiterate yet another time to get this through a few people's heads......I DO NOT MAKE EDITS WITHOUT SUBSTANTIATED PROOF!!!!!!!!! I am growing weary of receiving "nasty grams" because I have the audacity to decline edits that are not accompanied by proof/sources. I should not have to do a full genealogical workup on someone that is not in my direct bloodline, that I have just done the courtesy of recording their burial when I happened to be in the cemetery. I will take a quick look at what info I may have on hand to see if it will support the edit. If not, then the edit is declined for "lack of proof." I do NOT accept ANYONE'S word as fact!!!! My motto has always been, and always will be, "SHOW ME THE PROOF!!!"]

I work with a group of VERY dedicated genealogists, and our common goal is to make sure that burials in Marshall and Wetzel counties are properly accounted for and linked to family members. So if it seems as though we are bombarding anyone with edit requests, well.......we probably are......lol. Just know that it is only so that accurate information can be displayed. To those memorial managers who have been most gracious and cooperative.......we thank you! It is contributors like you who make this whole system work smoothly

I have been researching my own family tree for over 40 years now. The largest part of my family has its roots in Marshall and Wetzel counties in West Virginia. I currently live in Wetzel county, so I am right smack dab in the midst of things, so to speak.....lol. For those fellow researchers who also have family in this area, you can have a gander at my tree on Ancestry to see if perhaps we have a family connection. I have also have taken a DNA test and have it linked to my tree, as well as the test results of several other family members.
