Thank you! Let me know whenever you find out. As far as the birthplace, the info on Rhode Island was what the cemetery record had. So maybe it was incorrectly reported to the mortuary by someone who was misinformed.

Best regards,

B.J.

RE: Charlotte Y. Williamson and Joseph Yarbrough
I'm not doubting that, I'm just trying to establish if this is THE Joseph Joel Yarbrough and not a grandfather or uncle of the correct Joseph Joel Yarbrough. Thanks.

Murtishaw marriages
Hi Charlotte,

Are you trying to correct the order of the marriages or eliminate one of the wives?

Sparks
Charlotte, I posed a question on ancestry regarding my new search for Leander Jackson Sparks who died in Walker County, his father, George Humphrey Sparks, etc. They are my great grandfather and great great grandfather, respectively. I just recently found out about them, and did not even know my grandfather Charles (Leander's son) because he died before I was born. All of Charles' children are deceased, including my father, Percy Vernon Sparks.

A response to me on ancestry suggested you by name specifically. I hope you are okay with that. The information for George Humphrey Sparks is a bit sketchy and I would like to go back as many generations as I can. Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated.

I grew up in Texas but now live in Virginia. You seem to have retired from my current field. I am a patent lawyer.

Thanks. Rodney L. Sparks

Charlotte Y. Williamson and Joseph Yarbrough
Are you sure that Joseph is Charlotte's father? There is 52 years between them but he could still be her father. He could also be her grandfather or Great Uncle of something. I have not researched these Yarbroughs but Joseph is showing a different wife, although multiple wives are not out of the question. I'm just looking for some documentation so I don't link the wrong people. Thanks.

John T Foster III
Foster surname
Hi Charlotte First I want to thank you for being on the forefront of listing curiosities. My best guess is we became related when Ila Foster married Ivan Coble. The input here is the first time I have ever had a clue where I came from and desire to pass this info to my siblings as I have no offspring of my own. But something is still missing. I was told there were three brothers who left North Carolina and settled around Mountain Creek near Mansfield, TX. Robert Augusta, John Burl, and John Timothy Foster Sr., my grandfather. I am John Timothy III. From your reporting, it is clear that Thomas Anthony Foster was Gus' father. Also clear is Thomas Anthony brother with John Bynum who both were sons of John Bynum Sr. where this record ends. So, I am having trouble connecting the three brothers story. I just got started here and trying to get it right. Thanks for you help further.

RE: cobb/hardiman
Charlotte, He is not buried in Kermit. I have a listing of the Kermit Cemetery. My family is buried there. My grandfather Calvin Cobb is the grandson of John. In 1900 Allen moved his family to Midland for a while and then he moved on to Lea County New Mexico and then on to Arizona.
John died in Kerr County after 1880 and before they moved to Midland. If he had died while they were in Midland I would think he would have been buried at Fairview Cemetery where his grandson Thomas Benton Cobb is buried.
