The Hardamon name is spelled "Hardiman" in Limestone County AL and Giles County TN... somewhere in the shuffle when the Hardimans arrived in Natchitoches Parish LA, the name changed to "Hardamon."

Genealogists, please do not forget to include a woman's maiden name..! We tend to get lost in the genealogy shuffle....

Beulah V Kennedy Briggs was the wife of T. H. Briggs Jr. and not T.H. Briggs Sr. T.H. Briggs Jr. is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery, Longview, Gregg co. TX.
T. H. Briggs Sr. (who is buried in the Hughes Springs Cemetery), wife Frances Letitia Allen Briggs died before 1880 and is buried in the old Niblett Cemetery farm which was adjacent to the Briggs farm. Thomas's sister Nancy Briggs was married to James M. Niblett Sr.
Thomas's residence burned in the spring of 1897.

Mary Louise Turner Morgan
Are Mary Louise Turner Morgan and Ray Turner brother and sister, not husband and wife? Could not figure out why headstone did not say "Morgan". Thank you for any info you have.

carver info
hey! here is my link to my online tree for the carvers, far as i can tell, up till meeting you, i seem to be the only one currently doing research on this line, i hope to run into other researchers as i quest for info. please excuse the mess on the tree, alot of the citations are merely notes for myself for my paper work, i havent completed editing and transfering. also, i wonder if you might have any distant relations of your surnames out of the carolinas through tennessee, seems several of your names on your profile might be similar to a few of my deadends, foster, hardiman, patterson, nichols in particular. anyway, when you have time perhaps you would like to browse the tree for these names as well. it seems that many of the older famlies of the carolinas moved in the same circles, i find many unepected connections by tracing collateral lines for my own and my husbands lineage.

my direct email is, please put Find A Grave or something similar in the headline, its a public email so i get a ton of spam, if youd like an invite to the tree to view the more non public info or would like to correspond, just drop me a line.

john alvin carver
your very welcome. if you happen across any info on his parents,i am still trying to locate their final resting places.i believe Willis is probably buried near the old homestead which is somewhere near brasstown, oconee, south carolina, the only proof of property info i can find is a land sale of his wife Harriet Mcclanahans dower property ""Eighty two acres more or less: laying on a branch of Choestoey Creek, waters of Tugalo River: Beginning at a pine x3 running thence S. 20 E. 52:25 to a pine x3 Thence N. 40 E. 37:50 to a pine x3 Thence N. 63W.40:00 to the beginning." to Coleman Fowler. Her origins remain a mystery as yet, though I have located several possible relatives in the same general area buried at the bachelors retreat presbytarian church which the land for was donated by Leonard Hightower, the father in law of one of Willis's nephews. I believe there may have been some cherokee relations based on the location of their home place, where willis's brothers lived and the time frame during which a few of Willis's sons and grandchildren moved to Oklahoma. Harriet I believe died in Robertson, TN where several other of the children put down roots. the family came from the same general area as the brasswell-carvers (rock fish etc.) which has lead many researchers to think they are relations, im skeptical however because of the quaker carver line that settled in the same location and lived at carvers creek. with so few records to go on because of the civil war court house destructions, and the fact that most of where they lived was split up so many times and some was "wild" country it is unclear which line they are from. i do have most of the siblings of John and their families documented if you need further info feel free to email me or i can drop you a link to my online geneology database here. thanks again for linking this family together, it has been difficult to put them all together, and these memorials are so very helpful for this purpose. my kids get excited every time i find a tid bit of historical info on their family tree and the carvers were quite the characters!
