Bio Photo This is just another way that working together we can accomplish a great deal in documenting the history of many.

Special thanks to a number of people who have contributed a great deal of information and/or pictures that I've posted to memorials in Wisconsin; Kentucky; and Ron and Ann Miller: Hillside Cemetery, North Loup, Valley, Nebraska. I requested and was given permission by Ron and Ann to add specific pictures from their Gallery.

Whenever I visit graves online, I like to leave a flower so that friends and family of the deceased will know that their loved one was thought of that day. Most of these people are not related to me in any way.

RE: Albert Bernhard Knudsen
Twila, Thank you so much for honoring this WWII veteran and making sure his service and sacrifice is remembered. My thinking is much the same as yours. If I go to a cemetery, I make a point to check the photo requests and try to fulfill them. I also look for military markers to make sure the veterans have a Memorial page.

I am not related to Mr. Knudsen. I do volunteer work for the 99th Infantry Battalion (Sep) WWII Educational Foundation. It would be best for management of his Memorial to be passed on to a relative. However, I would be happy to take over management until it can be passed on to his family.

Sincerely, Tom H.

RE: Romanah Craft Sammis
I might not have said it very well!
Romanah Craft (Sammis) (my great aunt) was born in 1865.
Ethel Romanah Lovejoy (Beaver) (my grandmother) was born in 1884.
Ethel's middle name comes from her mother's sister, Romanah Craft (Sammis). Ethel's mother was Love Craft (Lovejoy).
They share the name of Romanah, which is very unusual.

Good luck rebuilding your tree. What a bummer. On the positive side, maybe you'll catch some inadvertent errors.

RE: Romanah Craft Sammis
Hi Twila! Long time no see. I'm so sorry about your Family Tree Maker problem. That is no fun at all!

I think what is going on with the confusion is that my grandmother, Ethel Romanah Lovejoy Beaver, was born in 1884. Her middle name comes from her mother's sister, Romanah Craft Sammis. Ethel's mother's maiden name was Love Craft, and Romanah Craft was her sister. So, Ethel's middle name was in honor of her Aunt Romanah. Romanah is such an unusual name. In fact, just this morning I was wondering where it originally came from. My research into the Crafts is rather meager at this point. I know so much more about the Lovejoys!

I hope that clears it up. Let me know if it doesn't or if I can help in any other way.

RE: Jean Bath Webber Cook and Lawrence H Webber
I will try to get a better one for Lawrence. I had to dig around his headstone as it was partially buried and I forgot my brush, so that's why it looks so dirty.

Blessings,
Linda

Bowles, Byron
I also updated by adding Byron Bowles (Paul's father) infomation to Find A Grave as well. He had been gone for 30+ years. I'm not sure how his death was missed.

Anyway, its there now.

Bowles, Paul
Twila, After asking around and checking out a couple of cemeteries with no luck. I gave up. Then today, I decided to go to the cemetery where most of my ancestors are buried to check on things. I checked where Paul's parents are buried and again, didn't find anything for him close by. As I was leaving I happen to glace just at the right time and there it was!!! His burial site is approximately 150 feet from his parents. I've added his name to Find A Grave, I have pictures but haven't downloaded them off the camera as yet. He is buried in Maysville Cemetery @ Maysville, Ark.

RE: Edna Athy
They should be gone now. I didn't understand what you meant the first time you asked. I would suggest sending an email to findagrave explaining what happened so that they can try to write a better code to prevent this from happening so that once a memorial is deleted that any pending edits for that memorial will also be removed.
