O.K. I admit it. I am a Genealogy Junkie. I began researching mine and my husband's family history 10 years ago. What started out as a mild curiosity has developed into an obsession that seems to have taken over my life. What could be more fun than a trip to a courthouse, library or cemetery?
You see......It's a sickness.

I love to visit cemeteries and read the epitaphs inscribed on tombstones. I think it is so sad to see so many unmarked graves, everyone should have a tombstone to mark their life after they are gone.

Our most prominent surnames are: Miller, Burnette, Bates, Hood, Gibson, Thomas, Mathews, Evans, Charles, and Stover. Our ancestors lived in the North Georgia mountains. They migrated to this area from North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Pennsylvania and other states across the U. S.
