Hi Marge, Just wanted you to know I found your ggggrandfather today in Oconee Cemetery in Illinois. We couldn't find Sarah, his wife. I took several photos also with my camera, it was very hard to read, but I would like to leave the phone photos there as it put a GPS location on his memorial. Sad story, it touched me. We are both from NJ too. Best Wishes, Connie

In viewing this Memorial for Maude Leota Miller Diehl, wife of Alvin Hayes Diehl, I believe it is misidentified as Maure E Diehl. From the photo the gravestone seems to clearly read Maude L Diehl. Just thought I'd see if it could be corrected.
Thanks for all you do for FindAGrave,
Marge, it's been awhile. I just wanted you to know my genealogy buddy and sister and your distant cousin Sue is no longer with us. She past on the July 5th, 3 months after our mother passed. Her and mother's tribute, is on Find a grave. Mother was the great granddaughter of Addison.

|Leslie Riffle||Hall / Creekmur Families in Macon Co Illinois|
Hello Marge...I have noticed that it looks as if you might be related to Hall / Creekmur families in and around Macon Co Ill. So am I. My Grandparents are John Hall and Prudence Creekmur. Their son, Charles Arthur Hall is my father. John was born in 1890 in Indiana, and Prudence, in 1887 Macon Co Ill. They are both on Find A Grave, buried in Stark Co Ohio. If you look at their memorials, you will be able to follow who their parents so far back. But, that is my problem. John Hall, sometime between 1910-1915 came to Macon Co Ill. from Indiana, for reasons unknown. His father's name was John C Hall born in 1835, supposedly in Harrison Co Ind. and died in 1911 in Indianapolis, Ind. Not for sure, but John C Hall's father's name could be Richard Hall.(That is the name listed on his death certificate. His mother unknown) After that, I have hit a brick wall. I'm thinking that maybe my grandpa, John Hall, went to Ill. because he had relatives in or around Macon Co Ill. and ended up there after he married Prudence Creekmur. Please, do you think you can help me? Do any of these people names ring a bell to you? Either way, I will be looking forward to hear from you. Thank you. Leslie Riffle #48106436
