Strouss Lineage
Hi Dennis,

Can you reply to me? I was told by a Strouss
cousin that you had helped him. I believe you
are married to someone in that lineage.

Eprhaim Dye Photo Request
Hello. I wanted to let you know that I added a photo of the overall area in Block 2 where Mr. Dye is buried. This is a very old and small Block in this large cemetery, where there are hundreds of unmarked single graves. There are only a handful that remain and I have already posted those. It is quite something to stand there and know how many people are buried there with no markers, but that's just how it is. I'm sorry there was no better result for you but it is a nice area, well-maintained, as you can see in the photo. I did a search for an obit but didn't find anything. The info on his memorial comes directly from the original handwritten records. Any questions, let me know.

RE: Doyle Family Burials - Smartsville
Thanks again for trying, and as we say sometimes what you can't find leads you to know that path is closed, so move on.

RE: Katie E. Doyle Death
Yes, that would be her. Thank you ever so for going beyond trying to find the other Doyle family members. I'm at a lost as to why all the Smartsville cemeteries were lumped together and have no idea how to get them seperate again.
I am a volunteer at the Historic Marysville Cemetery and we have one of the Doyle daughters, Annie in the Marysville Cemetery and I hoped to get them all linked and with their headstone photo's, but at least they have their memorials and with your news clipping I can at least up-date Katie's information. If you would like, please scan and add the news clipping to her memorial.
I just had a death in the family, so I might be out of touch, but I wanted to thank you. Ginny

RE: Smartsville Cemetery Burials
Thank you for trying, the Doyle family should be together in the same Cemetery, same plot. Several months ago a volunteer did fulfill my request for the father, Alexander 1819-1877 and one of the children Olive 1873-1875, but could not locate the Mother Elizabeth or the other children. They must not have headstones or markers.
Again thank you for your time, I'll leave the request up a little longer, but I doubt they would be in the other Smartsville cemeteries.

James Arthur Strouss
Hi Dennis,

I've added the news articles to James Strouss' memorial. The obits, etc., make the memorials better - reminding us they these were people with real lives worth remembering.

Jeff :)

Margaret E. Strouss

Thank you for sending me the newspaper article regarding Mrs. Strouss' injury and subsequent death from tetanus. I've added it to her memorial as you suggested, and found it sad that we had no cure for such diseases in 1922. I don't know how you came across the article, but am grateful that you shared it.
