I love doing research on my family tree. Because I have so many family members that are far away I feel it is absolutely necessary to pay it forward. I am currently working on getting what I can photographed and added so that maybe someone can make that necessary connection to help with their own brick wall.
All photos of headstones that I have added can be used by anyone using them for genealogy or family tree research. I am just glad that I could help.
relation? are you related to this person? elmer peacock or ethel? i am their grandaughter and havent seen this site since i attended the funeral.i was 9 at the time of their death. I just wanted to know if you are relation or not and to thank you for giving me this picture to add to my family tree on ancestry.com.I am only sorry i do not have the funds to give them a better headstone or to visit them :-(
Old pictures People who post old pictures on find-a-grave with incorrect information, and then disappear do a disservice to the other members. People who admit that they are amateurs should NOT post pictures of grave sites they are not willing to maintain, or know absolutely NOTHING about. I've had many problems trying to correct misinformation about my ancestors because some amateur posted a picture and incorrectly described the picture, and then disappeared into the woodwork. Please do us all a favor and stop being so helpful.
RE: New Hope Cemetery - Oakman, Alabama Sorry, it looks like someone posted the photos on July 4th, but didn't let me know they were in the wrong cemetery. Instead of this New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery, they are in New Hope "Holy" Church of Christ Cemetery. I've made the corrections. Thank you for your efforts. :)
