I had found the engagement also. I believe it was before the 1940 census came out. Don't know what got me to looking again.

This is funny. I was working on her this morning. Guess we are on the same thinking alike this morning. What I did find was the 1940 census saying they were married. Haven't had the chance to change it in the tree. Wanted to do more research.Let me know if you find anything more.

No problem Linda, wish it were a better photo, there was wet grass and dirt, hence the dark area.

Thanks for sending Victor's obituary, I have added it to his memorial. Let me know if you want a transfer. Have a nice weekend!

You are truly welcome!
It's easy enough to move from lot to lot. I did not find a stone for
Andrew. Please ask for everyone you want because I am not in that
town and don't want to make two trips. I also have Susan, John
baby Cheryl, Raymond and Robert Kommer who are on another lot and
will post those photos if there are memorials for them

The headstone is sunken; engraving for Dorothy was obscured by mud. You may wish to contact the cemetery to see if the headstone can be raised.Telephone: 216-421-2665, Fax: 216-421-2415

She was born to Henry J and Josephine Getz Schafer in 1879 in Weibersbrunn, Bavaria, Germany. In 1901 she married Jacob Schmidt. She was the sister of Mary Schafer Kreber and John P. Schafer. Pauline and Jacob had no children. Buried in St. Joseph's. This is all I have, hope it helps. Rosemary Paul Zyskowski

Oh, I think I found it - Irwin J. George at Lake City Cemetery, Elk County, PA. Yes, I could email it to you.
