Hi, I'm Suzie. I became interested in genealogy in 2007 after my father died.|
I live in Austin, TX, with my husband and our two kidlets. I enjoy riding my dirt bikes (yz250f & ttr225), learning digital photography (Nikon D90), genealogy, exploring cemeteries, and reading.
Feel free to send corrections and/or add photos to any memorial I maintain. Death certificates are welcome. Thank you for any contribution you care to make. I can't tell you how much I appreciate everyone's assistance and input. I do try to credit contributors in the memorial bios with links to their Find A Grave profiles.
If you would like to maintain a memorial I have created, please leave me a message or use the "edit - suggest a correction" option. I am open to transferring memorials to anyone who is in any way related to, or friends of, the deceased. Or if you are investigating a particular family line, feel free to ask for a transfer. I just ask that you do not delete any links to previous contributors that I have created in the memorials. This is a collaborative effort and I like to acknowledge that.
If you would like to use the photos I have taken for your personal family/Ancestry trees, please credit Fluttergirl.com.

I am going to make some more corrections when I get time. I am very interested in this cemetery and would like to straighten out a lot of things. I am not related to anyone in the cemetery, but my daughter-in-law is. I went to the original Saint Ann's Cemetery and there are many burials there and it is in very poor shape. There is a lot of unmarked spots also. It is on the church grounds and I wonder if there are any records of it. I will have to go back in when the leaves are off the trees later on.

Suzie, Thank you for the offer to transfer this memorial. Sister Amanda was a first cousin to my mother. I have been aware of her all my life and was thrilled to find this memorial.
I would be very happy to have you transfer management of this to me and thank you again.

That would be great. Thank you!

I'm not doing this solely out of kindness. We both have the same grandfather, Louis George Ellis, buried in the New Red Rock Cemetery. I've been trying to find out more information on him. He had a daughter from a previous marriage by the name of Mary Ellis who is Lehlia's mother. I haven't found much on Mary.

I went onto this site to search for information about Lehlia C. Highsmith. According to the information you provide, she is buried in an unmarked grave at Oakwood Annex in Austin. I am planning to get a grave stone placed there. Let me know if there is a conflict. If not, I will send a photo when done to update your files.
Thank you so much, I appreciate your courtesy.

I just noticed you do or did a lot of genealogy and was wondering if you could do mine with a few bits of the puzzle pieces I have.If interested let me know. I just miss my mom and her stories of our family and all I have left are the few gravestones I stumble upon.

Thank you for adding my baby uncle's headstone on this website. In researching my ancestors, I found Cecilio. He had an older brother and sister. But, they never knew about him. So, in time, I purchased the headstone for him. The other baby De Leon is not related to the family. The cemetery office explained that when the plot was not fully paid, another person could be buried in the same plot. So, if I wanted to purchase a headstone, I would also have to add the other baby's name, which was fine.
So, as I am working on my family tree right now, I checked what records were online for Cecilio and found the Find-A-Grave memorial. What a pleasant surprise!
