Bio and Links
Bio Photo The descendants of the old settlers, those who cleared the land and first upturned the wild sod to the sun, should see that the doings of those early years are fittingly remembered and recorded.
It was once remarked by a great writer that those who take no interest in the deeds of their ancestors are not likely to do anything worthy to be remembered by their descendants.

Please leave flowers or memorials on my memorials, I believe everyone deserves flowers, and I have a great family. Thank you in advance.
A BIG thank you to those who send histories, death notices, obits and links to add to the memorials. They are wonderful additions.
You may use my pictures and information for your family trees but I do like credit. This is all put on findagrave for your family trees because so many people have helped me with mine. Thank you.

Please read Find A Grave's Transfer Requirements before requesting a transfer "THE FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFERRING MEMORIALS ARE: Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for a transfer BUT PLEASE do no ask for a transfer that is not within these guidelines and PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED.
Putting requests on this site you will be ignored, and erased. Ignorance is not bliss it is just embarrassing for you.

For extended family members you can add
Virtual Cemeteries as we have done.

PLEASE USE the "EDIT" TAB ON THE UPPER RIGHT SIDE OF THE MEMORIAL TO SEND CORRECTIONS AND REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS. Will gladly add any obits and will add links to family members. "

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn.

You did not know that I exist You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our heart contracts and beat a pulse Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so.I wonder if you lived and loved,I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

Palm Springs
Hey Barbara :-) My partner and I met you at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City in Riversided County afew years ago while placing flowers on Jolie and Mgda Gabor's stone. You posted a picture of Jolie's Gabor's stone you took that day with the yellow florwer we placed and it makes us smile everytime we see the picture. The Gabor Ladies were and always will be amazing and special. We are going back in two weeks to Palm Springs and want to place flowers again and heard they keep Memorial Park locked now and you need permission to go. Have you heard anything reguarding this? Also wanted to let you know me and my partner got married in Palm Springs two years ago during Pride week and can't wait to go back in two weeks to celebrate our two year anniversary :-) We love Palm Springs and can only imagine how amazing it especially was when the Gabor Ladies threw amazing parties and brought their Glamour and Class to Palm Springs. We hope you and your family are doing great and send all great energy your way. Rick and Jorge :-) :-)

Re: Bernadette Schwartz
Barbara, Received your gracious immediate reply and please know that we,so very much, appreciate all of your generous volunteer time with remembering loved ones over the years. My father's family is from Escanaba since the late 1800s so I have seen the wonderful genealogical information that has been recorded and preserved. Thank you.

Hi Barbara,
I just noticed that you had entered a listing for Bernadette D. Schwartz (with baby). Because of the typo in her given name, I missed it so created a whole new one. I also made a listing for her baby, Clement John Schwartz, Jr. (Because her husband remarried and survived thru 1944, he is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Fon Du Lac, WI)

Please advise on the best way to combine.

Bernardette D Schwartz

Bernadette Ellen/Ellen Bernadette Dontigney Schwartz

Clement John Schwartz, Jr.

RE: Chauncey H. Mattison
Ok I confirmed with the person who took the photos of the headstones for the Mattison's that were listed in Arsenal street cemetery that they should be in North Watertown Cemetery. You should be able to correct them by changing the location.

Just go to the Burial section and click edit and you can change them to the correct location. As I noticed all of the mattison's you have in Arsenal Street should be in North Watertown Cemetery.

There were several cemeteries in Watertown area as this is a big city now. Arsenal street was one of the original cemeteries and as the town grew they had to add locations thus the addition of North Watertown Cemetery.

If you need help or want to transfer to my account, I can do that but it up to you. Just trying to make sure that we have this correct. I am a Matteson historian and know a lot about this family line.

Let me see if I can get some verification from the person who took the pictures. Then it is just a matter of changing the burial location in Findagrave on your part as you are the owner of these records.
