Bio and Links
Bio Photo Been into genealogy since about 2000. Love cemeteries and am an occasional RV traveler.

I am a "no-dispositions-unknown" contributor. This means that not only will I not create Burials Unknown (except as permitted), I will not link memorials to BUs.

Concentrating my efforts now to Cowlitz and Lewis Counties. Currently (2010-2014) working on Winlock Cemetery, Winlock, WA: trying to decipher my last 100 photos of deteriorating stones. Little Falls Cemetery & Vader Catholic Cemetery, Vader, WA are done!!(9/2010)

2014: Continuing row-mowing work at Whittle&Hubbard Cemetery, Castle Rock, WA.

Also inputting cemetery records in IOWA from transcriptions published by members of the IA Genealogical Society.

From the Find A Grave FAQ's: "The copyright of all photos posted to Find A Grave remains with the original submitter. No use of photos for any other website or personal use is given without prior consent of the original submitter."

[NOTE: With attribution, MY photos may be used for your personal, not-for-profit use. Please enjoy them!]

Another note: I will gladly transfer memorials *within* the FindAGrave guidelines (see FAQs) only. I will be happy to add links and bio info for any memorial I manage (please use the 'Edit' tab and the 'Suggest-A-Correction SAC' feature); the recent spate of deletions, dupes, and widespread name-collecting of persons trying to build their family tree on this site is a misuse of the site's original intent.

RE: Johnson-Deupree
Check my messages for more info on WH Johnson. Thanks for info on Lumpkins. What is the name of this book? Is there any info on the Burton or Edwards family in it. Maybe the Oglethorpe county library has a copy of it. Are the Lumpkins mentioned on Find A Grave. I'm relatively sure w/o looking that David C. Barrow id probably buried at Oconee Hill.

Do you have any info on Samuel Lumpkin? I wonder if he is also buried near Devil's Pond? I wonder what the cemetery book has about additional graves? I live in a county adjoining Oglethorpe and do know where Devil's Pond is. Might just have to check it out. The weather was beautiful here today. If it's pretty tomorrow I'll see if I can run down there and locate it. I'm curious.

You may get this multiple times b/c it keeps sending error messages on it and kicking out on this end. Sorry if it does.

RE: Johnson
I don't have much info on him. His great grand daughter lives in California and all she knows is her grandfather Fred Holt Johnson migrated to Arkansas from GA. His parents names were WH(she thinks Ward Holt) and Mary Johnson. No idea where in GA. She remembers her grandfather from when she was little. He died when she was young. So I was just searching WH and HW since they could have easily been reversed. I know it's like looking for a needle in a haystack, but you can sometimes stumble across good info. Just keep your eyes open because that is usually how I stumble across things. Anything you find is appreciated. If you come across anything, I am located in GA so I can check it out here.

Hey Marilyn,
FYI. Read through info you posted for WH. I have came across the names Lucy Dupree Johnson and Polly George in last few days. Could have been DC, but could have been other places. Will try to figure out where. Could have even been a memorial on Find A Grave. Do you have any bd dates on either?

I'm so glad I could help. Stumbled across while I was looking through DC's for WH Johnson born in GA, around 1870, died ??, had at least one son who migrated to Arkansas, named Fred. Think WH stands for Ward Holt, but not absolute. Wife was named Mary?? or something similar. Do you have any additional info on any of this??? Appreciate anything you may have. Thought it looked like a match for your H. W. Johnson!!
Best regards!

Hello again Marilyn,
I just left you a message about Orrien Paquette but I have a question for you about your cemetery research in Lewis County.
I am researching my mom's side of the family, the Dillinbaugh and Kernodle's. She began her own search in about 1997 and at the time she found the headstone's of Lottie May Dillinbaugh and Baby Boy Kernodle buried next to eachother. The problem is that she didn't take pictures and now can't remember which cemetery they were in. Lottie May died in 1893 and her obituary stated that she would be buried at the "Old Baptist Church Cemetery" in Centralia next to her infant nephew. My mom also claims to have found a Dillinbaugh family plot and just can't remember where. Do these names come up in your records? Thank you so much. Walter

RE: Orrien Paquette #29557223
Hello Marilyn,
Thanks for your questions. I am not wanting to change the place of death for Orrien, just the place and date of his birth. He was a twin to Warren Millward Paquette and Warren was born 12 September 1890 in Castle Rock, WA. I have found more records for Warren than I have for Orrien outside of the census', probably due to Orrien's young age. I think it is unlikely that they were born in different towns and only a couple weeks apart. Orrien's headstone doesn't have a birthdate but Warren's does. I hope this helps sort it out. Thank You, Walter
