Robert, thank you for the edits... I will accept them, but unlike many people , I do not fill in the whole biography section of the memorial... I give it a bit of time... then from the obituary I write a biographical sketch.. I usually go back in 3 months... Really I take this "work" as serious and try to be as accurate as possible
Thank you for impute I will finish his memorial this weekend along with a few others.
|Jordon T. Vaughn||Sarah Jane Vaughan Darst|
I've been trying to link the Lincoln/Garrard/Boyle County Vaugh(a)ns in Kentucky. My 5th greats are Joseph and Ellen (O'Bannon) Vaughan, they had 14 children, all born in the Dix River area.
Then there's a Zachariah and a Thomas Vaughan, also from Virginia and lived most their lives in that area in KY. Of all the recorded burials in the area, no Vaughans are of my confirmed branch, as Joseph died in 1863ish just before his wife, children, and grandchildren moved up here to Putnam County, Indiana. The only other death was Joseph's granddaughter, Susan.
Anyways, Sarah Jane's the sister of a George who's buried in Lincoln County. their parents are Zachariah and Harriet (Ball) Vaughan, right?

Hi, Robert! I was wondering if maybe you had photos from your visit to Curry Cemetery in Wilkesville, Vinton County, Ohio. You added info about my great great grandparents, Henry & Katherine (Donahoe) Oiler. I got excited and took mt mom & g-ma to visit their graves, and we looked high and low, but never could find their headstones. I found some Donahoes and some Oilers, but not my g. g. grandparents. I was pretty bummed and was hoping maybe you could help. Thank you.
|Mary Buchholz||Your interest in Darst/Dirst|
I see you have done lots of work on the Darst/Dirst family -- I am helping a friend discover more about her father's family.
He was adopted as a small child - David Paschke is his adopted name. He discovered his parents names later in life - Charles TILLER and Maude Dirst (daughter of John Dirst and Emma Scott) - they lived in MN until they moved to Canada. There Maurde died in 1919 - this we just discover as I started the search - of course the death of the mother makes David's adoption much more understandable. So now I am trying to learn more about the Dirst family, thank you for your time and help, MaryinSD

Hello, Robert I am trying to help my family research a long lost half sister. We believe Pauline had a daughter named Mary who could have some half siblings in Nebraska, Minnesota, and Colorado. Do you have access to Pauline's obituary? Ruth Palecek

|Baxter B. Fite III||Henry Reel Darst, Co. A, 86th Illinois|
Dear Robert, First of all, I hope this little note finds you well. Second, I again want to Thank You for allowing me to manage the Find A Grave Memorial of Henry Reel Darst, who served in Co. A of the 86th Illinois, and to be able to write his biography.
Third, I really am hoping to see some pictures of Henry Reel Darst and get them added to his Find A Grave Memorial. Are you or have you ever been in contact with any of the Darst family members who are descended from Henry? There must be some in Minnesota and I am hoping that you can help me.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Baxter
