Just letting all of you know that on or about 3-27-2013, I took a really hard cardiovascular hit; spent a month at local medical facility; as I become stronger, will continue with Find-A-Grave but it may take a while to do all that needs to be done; would appreciate your patience with me.

Hello Everyone!

I have a LOT of work to do! .. and "I think I can do that"! (quoting you-know-who when she was starring in a movie and was told, "All you have to do is walk into the church", or something close to that - I think it was 'walk into a church' - been awhile since I've seen it).

Sorry I've "been away" for such a long period of time! I am hoping to receive a new computer in the not-too-distant future as this one appears to be on its last 'gig-a-byte' .. it occasionally works but, most often, 'occasionally DOES NOT'; thus, the reason I've been unable to make corrections, answer e-mails, etc.

For all of you who have said prayers for me and sent messages re. my health, my sincere "Thank You" to each of you.

Thanks to my Precious Lord Jesus Christ, I am now doing well. What happened to me? I died 3-27-2013 about 15 minutes after I sat down at the computer. My daughter heard a small plastic item hit the tile floor and, thinking 'some books had fallen' called out from the living room, "Mom, are you o.k.? (X 2) and, when I didn't answer, came from the living room to check on me and found me lying in the floor very dead and, while calling 911 EMS, she immediately began the chest compressions which were continued by EMS when they arrived; I was taken to the local medical center and someone came to my daughter immediately and said, "This is grave, you need to call your family". Following what I refer to as "receiving the ice-water baptism" (I was frozen) and "having my throat cut" (ventilator) and, "sleeping" for about 12 days/nights, I awakened one afternoon about 3:00 PM, wide-awake, no pain, flat of my back "with hoses and tubes everywhere", still on the ventilator, and was immediately told by my daughter and sister what had happened to me. After about an hour, they went home (having been there 'round the clock) and the doctorS began coming in and telling me what had happened and that I was now known as the "miracle at St. Mary's", one of the doctors telling me, "We know what happened - your heart quit beating but we don't know why" and one telling me that only 1 in 5 usually survive what had happened to me ... and some people did ask me, and still do, if I saw 'a bright light' or 'went through a dark tunnel' to which I answer, "No, but, when I woke up, I felt like I had had the best night's sleep I could ever remember" (12 days/nights - no wonder I felt 'rested'!) .. and, having said all that, "I PERSONALLY know Who holds tomorrow and I know WHO holds my hand". He truly is Magnificent, Majestic - He has been, for many years, and will ALWAYS be my LORD! .. and to all my beautiful family members/friends at Find-A-Grave, please don't forget Psm. 23 and meditate on each of its phrases, .. green pastures .. still waters .. THROUGH the valley of the shadow of death (and do I fully understand that one!), etc., etc. .. and I ask Him to bless each of you every day of your lives ... Love to All of You, Della

Glennis Walker book
Hi Della,
I have worked the last several months on inputting Glennis Walker's book of the Walker Family History on an online family tree. May I have your permission to use any pictures on your Find A Grave memorials (not headstones) of family members on the tree?
If you are interested in seeing Glennis' book online, send me an email and I'll give you the link and password.

Thanks, Bev

Magen Sparks
Phillip Sheridan Pack and David Pack of Chaffin Cemetery
I don't yet have the info for their wives, if they had any. When I find em I will drop you a message.

They too belong to Nancy Chaffin and Stanley Pack they are brothers with my (of some amount of 2x great granddad John Sherman Pack.Nancy Chaffin was Stanley's first wife. He later married his Second wife Caroline Bartrum Pack who was first wife to Stanley's brother Anderson. (Such a LONG knotted up story...LOL) Stanley and Caroline raised both broods together.

Thanks for keeping the information updated.

Colleen Bedore
Griffin/Osburn
Hi Della,
My name is Colleen Bedore and I'm the granddaughter of Mack and Cynthia
Griffin from East Lynn West Virginia. I see your name on many of the Find
a Grave sites and wanted to thank you for all your work and ask you about a
family mystery we just stumbled across and see if you might have any
insight to it.

I was always told it was just my Grandfather and his brother Tom, but my
cousin in WVA just found her Grandmother's journal (Mack's daughter) and
she talks about an Aunt dying in 1950 Mollie Simms Wright and that she had
a twin sister Allie Farley who died around 1930. I've found the birth
record for Mollie and it says her mother is Martha Francis and the father
is Leander Gilkerson. Now, she was born in 1883. I can't find any mention
of Allie.

If you have run across anything that rings a bell I would greatly
appreciate it. My Mom never mentioned any Aunts so this has me scratching
my head.

Take care and thanks again for all your work.
