My bio was largely paraphrased from others I was able to locate. But certainly her red hair was unusual enough that it earned her the nickname "Bricktop". :) I didn't say it was unheard of.

Hello. Unfortunately bad health prevents me from visiting the cemeteries any more. As regards your second question: Here in Denmark a burial plot is leased for a certain number of years, for instance 25 years. If after that time the lease is not renewed - there may not be any living relatives to pay for the renewal - the plot will be levelled and eventually used for a new burial at a later date.

Thank you for the photos of my uncle John W. Vosse's name on the East Coast WWII Memorial. I appreciate your efforts very much. For your info, John was on the troop transport USAT Dorchester which was sunk off the coast of Greenland by a German sub. That ship has the distinction of being known for the four chaplains on board who boosted morale, brought the troops together, and gave their lives to save others. It's quite an interesting story, which has been on the history channel, and has books written about it. Thank you.

It was my great pleasure. Many thanks for the kind words. If you wish I can transfer the interment to you so you can upload additional information on your Grand Uncle as it becomes available.
