|Beverly Aker||Goldie Lowe Farley|
Per your request:
Hi. Goldie Lowe Farley is buried in a cemetery that is called the William Wetzel Farley, Jr. cemetery. It is located on True Road at Pipestem.
I have tried to find the cemetery that you suggested and was unable to do so. However, I did check which cemetery her husband, William Wetzel Farley, Jr is in and she is in the same cemetery as her husband.
Until the person who entered the obit for William Wetzel Farley, Jr. changes his site location, I won't be able to move her from her present place with her husband. Did you contact the person who did the husband's site?
Sorry to not be able to fulfill your request at this time.

Just wanted to thank you for adding pictures of Elizabeth's & her husband Matthew Lowe's headstones and ask for permission to add them to my family tree on my computer & also at ancestry. They're my 3rd great grandparents. Are you related or are you one of those wonderful people who take headstone photos for those of us who aren't able to visit the cemeteries ourselves? I very much appreciate your efforts & if you're related, would love to exchange info.

|Sabrina K. Combs||Thank you!|
Thank you so much for the photos of the Foster graves at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. I GREATLY appreciate it. It's so important to get photos of these older grave markers which are deteriorating before they are unreadable. These two appear to be hand carved, which makes them doubly interesting in my opinion. You did a great job, and I appreciate your time and effort! :-)

I had a great Aunt Hester Ann Bowling Fain born b Apr 9, 1854 in Patrick Co, VA, who lived at the District home almost 1 month & died 30 July 1940 of cerebral Apoplexy & the Dr who signed the death certificate was Dr.C.D. Bennett of Chatham,Va. I noticed this cemetery has many graves some w/ brass markers, some with stones, some with indentions. Is it possible that the Oak Grove Residential Care Facility has some records to prove that she was buried there since the description of this cemetery says that is a possibility & the death certificate said a funeral director was Kenneth P. Scott of Stuart, Va. was in charge of removal. Maybe he did that for the District Home & she was not taken back to Stuart,Va at all. She was residing there because it was a Poor Farm & most likely no one had money to bury her elsewhere. I have been looking for her burial place for 10 years. Her Parents were William Waller & Nancy Jane Bowling of Patrick Co.,Va. & they are my great grandparents & she was my Great Aunt. Thanks Anne Bowlin Reyna

Do you have any idea where this cemetery is located on the property of Oak Grove Residential Facility in Chatham, Va and how did you find the list of names of the people that are listed here on Find A Grave.
I have a relative that is buried there. Her name was Adeline Midriff Justice and she died there in 1949. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Their daughter Adaline Lowe is my descendent. She married William Arnott and their daughter Eliza Arnott married John Lax. Eliza and John are my great-grandparents on my father's side. Their daughter Marie Lax is my father's mom. Have you tried to get the person who created the memorial for Elizabeth to place the burial location on the memorial instead of leaving it as unknown? Thanks for posting the photo it was great to see it and Matthew's.

I noticed you have posted a photo of the gravemarker for Elizabeth Clark Lowe #84733430. The memorial does not list a cemetery. Do you remember which cemetery she is buried in? Could it possibly be in the same cemetery as her husband William Lowe (Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery)? She is my third great grandmother and I would like to know for sure. Thanks for your help.

I have no idea who marked the graves but I am glad they did. Someone also marked my 3grgrandmother and several others. I suspect it was the same person.
Getting the photo was no problem at all. I am often in the cemetery. My father and several other family members are buried there.
He is not closely related to me, you are welcome to the memorial. If you give me your member # I will transfer it.

WOW! That is amazing! Finding all of this information has been thrilling for my husband and as well as myself. There had always been what we thought to be family "folklore" regarding the name change but to discover its truth stemming from my husbands paternal grandfather was invaluable! We would love any other information or pictures that you may have and are willing to share. We dont have much of anything from his paternal side as his dad passed away when he was a young child. So cool to find another relative!!! Thank you!!!

Hello D. Mack,
Yes, we are related to the Mock family. Pleased to meet you! My husbands family is descendant from James Will Mock & Catherine Dunkley Mock. I have traced his fathers side back to Marcus Mauck & Delilah Frye Mauck.
Where does your relation enter?
Sincerely, M. Mock
