Bio and Links
Bio Photo I ran across this site by accident. I was doing a search on the internet for my mom (Elsie Madeline Blades Pierick) who died in November of 2006. I saw she posted my sister's gravesite on this site and left a number of notes. I'm finding comfort in knowing that she was here before and that she is now in heaven with my sister. My Father is still living, his name is William Herman Pierick, married to Virginia Lee Pierick (nee Scott). I have two brothers, Michael, and Steven and a half brother, Karl.

Accepting changes!
I was just wondering if you got online in Find A Grave and accepted changes people send you. I have been going to the Iowa County Courthouse and trying to add info to the three Highland Cemeteries and have been sending you lot's of changes.

Highland Public Cemetery
Just a bit of knowledge I picked up doing the three cemeteries in Highland. On the side where the Highland Public Cemetery is, there is actually two cemeteries. The second one is the old Saint Philips Cemetery and it is located on the North side of the road as it goes between the cemeteries. This is in the valley toward town. The Highland Public Cemetery is located to the South of the road or at the crest of the hill. I am seeing this mistake a lot and I am trying to inform the people as I find them. I may even have the McCarthy's you have listed in Saint Philips Cemetery. I am sure I do, so we need to work together to combine them and get them in the correct cemetery.

Debi Rhodes Dougherty
Hi Brian,
My name is Debi and Ruthie Tull is also my great grandmother, I have been searching for information and finally recently found a bit. My grandmother is Bessie Blades Rhodes, sister of your grandfather Ernie. I do remember Ernie being at our home when I was very young. My condolences on the loss of your mother. I was saddened to hear she had passed while recently trying to track down any information and came across a post she did years ago. Thanks for the things you keep up here they are helping me to put the pieces of the puzzle together. My father was Bud Rhodes. Would love to share information some time. Best Regards, Debi

You are welcome, my friend,
I gladly visited your dear Mom and sister, and hope to visit them again in the near future. Also glad you liked my words - I actually never plan what I should write or not, the words usually come out of my heart when I look at the pics or read a tribute page. Now you have a good Sunday, with love, xxx Edda
