I am the daughter of Rufus Edwin Ashby and Helen Roberta Nelson. I live on the Northside in Jacksonville, Fl and am researching my family roots. In doing so, I have requested some photos as far as Texas and Tennessee and have been blessed by some very nice people taking the pictures for me. I would be glad to do the same for others any time I can.
Kitchens I noticed we both have a photo request for Sarah Kitchens in Kitchens Cemetery, Franklin Co Tennesee. Curious are you related to the Kitchens. Im related through Margret Emmaline Kitchens dau of Green Berry Kitchens who married Noah M. Spears in 1860s. Margret Died in 1885. Cemetery Unknown, but she does have a memorial. Thanks again. Lacey
Re Blanche Ashby - Old Orchard Angela, As you know, I've searched for her at Old Orchard several times without success. I believe she is buried under the name of her husband Shirley Wells. I'm attaching a photo of her Wells marker which has dates matching those for Blanche Ashby. If you agree, please change the names on her memorial. Let me know if you disagree. Jimbo
William Hudson Ashby Hi Angela. I am responding to the message that you sent to me. I did not create the memorial for William Hudson Ashby. You did. However, I did add a picture of him to the memorial you created. I would be happy to add his first wife and other children to the memorial page, but I can't because it is your page. If you could please transfer the memorial page to me, I will be happy to update everything. My member number is #48172028.
William Hudson Ashby I noticed an error on this memorial. Ellen Eleanor Wadley Ashby was William Hudson Ashby's "second" wife. His first wife's name was Mary Elizabeth Ramsey Ashby. She was the mother of all of the children you have listed on William Hudson Ashby's memorial page. I have created a memorial for her and you will find that link and number on Felix Benton Ashby's memorial page that I created. The location of her grave is unknown.
William Hudson Ashby and his first wife had eight children. He had five more children with his second wife, Ellen Eleanor Wadley Ashby.
I've added a picture of William Hudson Ashby to his memorial page.
Claud Ashby We searched Pleasant Hill Cemetary and markers were not to be found. Contacted the caretaker and she sent me to Mt. Hope Cemetary to look for another marker. Low and behold that is where we found the Ashby you were requesting. I also have pictures of markers for infant daughter and son of Claud Ashby. If you would like them, please let me know. Good luck in your research. I have other photos of other Ashby markers that we could locate also. This cemetary is full of them.
Travis Ashby request Arkansas Unfortunately I was unable to locate your request. The Newton Cemetery is very overgrown(so sad) and it is in the middle of a farmers field fenced off with barbed wire. Here is a helpful website http://arkansasgravestones.org but they were also unable to find it too! Sorry!
