Originally from Martinsburg, WV, I now live in Woodbridge, VA (Prince William County) although I spend a great deal of time in Middlesex County, VA. Since Prince William County cemeteries are pretty well documented, I am focusing my attention on trying to capture the gravesites in Middlesex County. If I have added anyone from Middlesex or Prince William County, they are not related to me, so I would be happy to transfer a memorial. Just ask!|
Also, please feel free to use my photos of monuments and headstones for personal use (genealogy sites); however, I ask that you credit me with the following statement: "Photo by Candi Keiter Johnson; permission limited for personal use only". If you wish to use a photo for commercial use (as in publishing a book or writing an article for a publication, please email your request to CandiJ@aol.com to receive permission). Any photos I have placed that are personal pictures of the deceaased, I ask that you NOT use without emailing a request first. Thank you.

I'll be adding the rest as soon as possible. My wife and I have made 2 trips there and have to go back once more to finish up. Then that cemetery has been updated. Larry O.

You aare most welcome.

I understand your comment about FindAGrave rules but the actual new owner of FindAGrave.com (Ancestry.com) of which I am also a member does list living members.
Since I am working for free (spending many hours each and every day) for Ancestry.com I have chosen to list living relatives. I find those names are helpful when they die so that I can link them to their relatives.
I appreciate your suggestion.
|Gayle Weiss||Chandler Cemetery|
Candi -- I see that you have photographed several tombstones in the Chandler Cemetery in Urbana, VA. I am wondering if there is a tombstone in that cemetery for Mary Crowder Gayle Chandler - Silas Chandler's second wife. Mary was a first cousin to his first wife, Ann Elizabeth Gayle -- Silas and Mary were married in 1881, one year after Ann died. Mary helped his raise his seven children. All I know is that Mary died before 1920 and that she had been living with Silas' son, E. Russell Chandler and his wife, Hattie Bentley Chandler (who was Mary's niece) after Silas' death. If there is a stone for Mary there, I would like to make a Find A Grave file for her. Thank you - Gayle Weiss
Thanks for the linking. The Thrifts are my husband's relatives and at the same time, my Anthony family married into the Thrifts. We are both cousins to Joseph.
A transfer would be nice, but we are only cousins.
I noticed you are working now in Middlesex. That's great. People are working so hard to get these graveyards of FIND A GRAVE.

Thank you very much for the transfer of Joseph's memorial which has been updated with a bio, family link, and other info. - Dave
In regards to your request(s) at Whitehaven in Mayfield, Ohio. If you would please call the office at (440) 442-1400 and ask for the plot information, then message me that info I will take the photo within a week. The office is helpful and shouldn't give you any problem with giving you plot info. Thank you!

In response to your message:
I am researching the Whitman's and, of course, came across Anna. I'm trying to link the generations together for a DAR application. First of all, where did you get the picture and short bio of Anna? Secondly, do you have any information on the Whitman's? Thanks for any help you can give.
I think I can help. I started a reply and somehow lost it...??? Anyway if you get to you will begin to understand how technically disadvantaged I am... First of all you don't seem to be hooked up with the Storm cousins and associated family on FaceBook?
You can either look up Christopher Ware (picture in a sailors cap on FaceBook) and he can invite you. I will tell him you may want to join the page. Or just to take a look around it is called "Decendants of Johann Jacob Sturm (Storm/Storms/Stormes genealogy) and it has a great deal of research as well as many to are working to prove the same lines you are.
Secondly: David Decker another cousin is very knowledgable about the Whitman lines
daviddecker627 Anna Storms Whitman photo: Duane, GREAT FIND! Would you happen to know what book that's in?

Duane Warren I found this on another persons tree...they wrote:: This is a photocopy of a single page; text on the page indicates that it's from a book/chapter on Harrison County, IN. Refers to Blue River Township. Nothing else on the page appears to be about the Whitman family
I can certainly try to assist you with further information if you exhaust these two sources. They are just the first two places I would go to get the best possible information.
BTW, Anna Frances Storms is my 4th Great Grandmother, can I ask how you are related?
Blessings, Duane Warren
