Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello, and welcome to my page. I am a Kister by birth, I live in Virginia, with my Husband & a granddaughter that we are raising.
We have two daughters and a total of 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson.
I have lived in Utah, Idaho, California, Washington, Oregon, Alabama and Virginia. We have settled and will stay put here in the Appalachian Mountains, it is just wonderful here.
I discovered the fascinating world of Genealogy and have been researching family history since 1995.
My family on my father's side is originally from Walter & Frank, Saratov, Russia. I am part of the second generation born in the States.
On my father's side of the family, I am interested in the Sir names of Kister, Kaufmann, Babcock, Widup, Macbeth, Gettman.
On my mother's side of the family are Wright, Sweet, Jones, Brady, Cox; Hale; Paulson.
Hubby's side is Morris, Elam, Lightfoot, Coffey, Jeffrey, Koehl.
For other family memebers I'm searching Worley, Barnett, Chaney, Smith, LaMon, Umstead, Cho, Iliff, & Galardo.
When I found the Findagrave.com web site, I realized I had to be a part of it all. We actually find graves as a family hobby, we all participate, it's great!
My hubby is interested in the Revolution and Civil wars.
I like to search and add names in local grave yards that are not presently on the database, and finding old obits on the net that hasn't been added as yet.
If anyone finds info that I have submitted wrong, please bring it to my attention and I will correct it right away. Comments and suggestions are welcome. If you can suggest changes or additions to any memorial that I've posted, please don't hesitate to let me know.
If you see a family member or loved one, and wish to have ownership, please don't hesitate to ask.

Your's in grave finding, Barbie :)

Thank you so much!!!
I'm almost 60, and for the first time in my life I am now seeing the grave of my grandfather, a man who died when my mother was only 10.
We out here appreciate all the work you do to photograph and catalog these graves.

RE: Re: Pearl Smith
Yes, Pearl Badger Smith was the child of my Grandpa Cicero "CB" Bethel Badger aunt Elizabeth "Ellen" Badger who is buried in Snodgrass cemetery(Washington Co. VA).
Are you related or know someone who is? I do my Badger family tree. Thanks so much, Ruby Badger Pruitt rbpruitt@yahoo.com

Clark memorials
Thank you for accepting the edits for the Clark memorials in the Glade Spring Baptist Cemetery (Old).

I would be pleased if you would read my Bio and visit my parents' memorials by clicking on their links.

RE: Re: James Blevins
Thanks for your reply. I know part of Saltville is in Smyth and part in Washington. Same problem with Carroll, Wythe, Grayson Counties in Va.
Depends on who is writing the info down as to what county they think they are working in.
Very confusing when I was researching in those counties.
