Bio

When I was an elementary school student, I sometimes accompanied my paternal grandfather when he visited cemeteries, and I loved hearing him talk about the people buried there. From those seeds, my interest in cemeteries began.

I am trying to create complete records for my family; the surnames I am most familiar with are Hardy, Winkelmann, Rousselle, Bischoff, Romine, Angermeir, Fortkamp, and Satterthwaite.

In addition, I am interested in the rural cemeteries that are near the farm where I grew up in Eden Precinct in the northwest corner of Hitchcock Country, Nebraska. So far, these include Eden Cemetery, Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, and Ough Cemetery. I am trying to ensure that all graves in these cemeteries are documented, and to the extent that I can, I have tried to link these people to their spouses, parents, and children. I have also tried to find their obituaries and add them to their FAG memorial. Much of the time, those buried in these cemeteries are people whom I have never met nor heard of, but I still enjoy doing what I can for their memorials. I hope that my efforts will not only make them live on but will also someday benefit their family members and other researchers.
