Bio and Links
I am researching Bledsoe, Kimberlin, Myers, Freeman, Chappell, Spurgeon, McCart, Hinze, Thome, Wischnowsky, Palfreeman, Arnold and Eppstein. This is a great site, and I have found it to be very useful in gathering family data.

Thanks to all the contributors!

Something I did not know and just now found out from another contributor:

Find a Grave has implemented a new way to submit Edits! Unfortunately, there are far too many members for Find a Grave to notify everyone via email, so it's up to us to get the word out. If every member posts this message (or similar) in their profile, hopefully we can help spread the word.

To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.

Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy!

The exception:
Requesting a transfer other corrections are still handled the same way. Click on "suggest any other correction or addition," type your message and press "send this message." The manager of the memorial will receive an email.

RE: Jesse Freeman parentage
Hi Elaine, thanks for your comment. Josiah Freeman did have a son named Jesse who was born about 1788, but he is not the same Rev. Jesse Freeman b. 1804 d. 1885 in Fayette County, Al who married Rebecca Rachel Cole. Jesse and Rebecca Cole Freeman are my 4x great grandparents and I've done quite a bit of research on them. Jesse Freeman had a Grandson named Jesse Cole Persinger who wrote an autobiography and he mentions his Great grandfather Nicholas Hawkins Freeman and his two sons, "These two boys were the only children and they both made Methodist preachers and both married daughters of William B. Cole. The oldest of these boys, Jesse located near Zion Church where he reared his family, one son and two daughters." Jesse's son James L. Freeman is my 3x great grandfather. Jesse's brother and Nicholas Hawkins Freeman's other son was James Hawkins Freeman who married Matilda Cole. Josiah Freeman would be this Jesse Freeman's grandfather.

As far as Susannah Baker goes I have that Nicholas Hawkins Freeman married Susannah Baker daughter of Obidiah Baker and his wife Rachel. I have no doubt that John Jackson Freeman married a Susannah Baker as well, it is more than likely that the two Susannah's are closely related, but I don't believe they are the same person. If you have some documentation that proves otherwise I would love to know.

I hope this clears things up, please let me know if you have any questions or research you would like to share. Thanks!-Amber

RE: Re # 21271900
David Thome is recorded by the GAR Post 42 and the National Park Service Soldiers and Sailors Rosters of Veterans and by GAR Records at NSHS.
Since he has a private stone, there is no engraving on the stone, which is common for that type of stone. If he had a military stone, the record would be there. He is posted in our National SUVCW database, and will continue to be there. http://www.suvcwdb.org

I linked a son to the parents. What can you tell me about his name situation. Benson Lamar Myers > Benson La Mar-Myers > Benson La Mar.
Do you know the story behind all this ?

Hi Elaine - sent you some edits for this family. Are you related ? I have a couple of questions.

Patterson
I transferred William and Emma Patterson to you. I am related to all the other Patterson's in Dublin Cemetery but not this one (not that I know of yet, anyway).

I just found an old e-mail where you requested some links to his parents. I am so sorry that I lost your request, but I have linked them now.
I like the new way Find a Grave does it now, that way they are staring me in the face on the site--and so easy to edit.
Sorry for the delay.
