I was born in Omaha Nebraska in 1940, and relocated to Monterey California in 1959 with the U. S Navy where I still live today. In 1962 I married Carolyn of Monterey, a seven generation native Californian, and we have two daughters. I retired from a local utility company in 1993, and have operated my own business since 1994. I have been pursuing both mine and my wife's ancestors for the past 20 years. In that time I have located over 17,000 family members to which we are related. I currently do volunteer genealogy research in CA & OH counties. |
I am happy to transfer memorials, no matter how distant, other than my own family (unless you have a closer relationship).

Any chance you are a descendant of Hallie Hitchcock Walker? She was my grandmother's high school (Monterey High School, 1915) friend and I have pictures of Hallie I would love to share with family.

Hi Gary! Just looking over my messages and I wanted to take the time to thank you, in the event I didn't at the time, for creating and transferring my Coskey relatives' memorials to me. Your kindness and quick response to my request is so very much appreciated!

Thore's wife Ingeborg, was my 2x great-grandmother Inger's older sister.
I spent a summer going back and forth to NAHA (St. Olaf college has the old church books for these nearby communities, written in Norwegian).
I have also stayed in Winneshiek County, Iowa... researching the early settlements of my first immigrating families from Norway.
Thore and Ingeborg were a few of the many arrivals who departed from Norderhov parish/community, in Buskerud... I am attending a workshop in Austin, MN in a few days. I should have additional info on their lives and ancestors from the farm books we will use at this conference. You are welcome to email me in private message also... just send an edit/suggestion from a memorial I hold so we can establish a direct connection.
Thanks for contacting me, longing forward to hearing about his family.

|mike sweet||RE: Father James Walker 11774351|
So sorry. The James Walker memorial number 53970556 was originally listed in a Nebraska cemetery. It was created 6/21/10. I left the creator a message saying James was not buried there, corrected the death date and location and said his grave was already created 9/18/05 in the Los Gatos cemetery memorial number 11774351. Apparently she moved her grave site to the right place so now there are two Jame Walkers. I assumed she would have cancelled hers as it was created later in time but I am a newbie just looking to help with dates and places I can document.
I'm sorry - I misundertood. If you already have them and simply need me to add them, I am happy to do that. Send any to me that you have with the link for the person they are for. I am HAPPY to ad them!!
|Marilyn Diaz||RE: Obituaries|
Sure..you can send them to me via email if it is easier for you.
|Becky Crout||Re: Obituaries/Memorial|
Are you asking me to post an obituary for all 16,000+ memorials?
If anyone would like to take over a memorial that I created, provided they are related to the person, I am happy to transfer.
I do extensive research for folks in the cemeteries I am indexing but that is all the time I have for research.

No Problem...I have done it!
No problem. I was "hanging out" in the Ghios.
I saw a few of them were moved, so I wanted to see if they all got memorialized in their final resting place. I transferred a couple of them to you.
Best wishes, Samantha :)
