I am a native and lifelong resident of California and reside in beautiful Sonoma County. I have a strong interest in history and genealogy and, with the help of FINDAGRAVE recently located a number of stones of direct ancestors in New England. While there, I took many photos and would like to share with anyone who is interested.|
Since then, I have added a few more.

Stunning photo you took of her stone~no comparison to the one I took on a visit. Great addition to the memorial. Related by any chance?

Thanks so much, Erich, for making the correction on the year of death of John Bates. These old headstones can be really difficult to read, both from age and from the way they constructed their letters and numbers way back then.

Thanks so much for the edits to the Charles Hightree memorial. Very much appreciated.
Just went onto your profile and see you live in beautiful Sonoma County. I was Santa Rosa born and bred and know just about every nook and cranny of the county ... but find myself living in Manhattan, Kansas, for the past 37 years where my wife and I are retired from Kansas State University. Manhattan is much the way Santa Rosa was when I was growing up - and now much changed, of course.
Best, Barry Michie
