RE: Comment
The transfer is not a problem. Please go to the memorial and use the "EDIT" tab at the top of the page to request the transfer. That way I get all of the info I need to do the transfer. Thanks!

RE: Charles M. Wilkinson 1878-?
Hi Roland,

Great to see the additional data added. I've updated my source info to the new memorial you created. Just an FYI, it does create a duplicate entry in Findagrave might want to kill the other one. If you got a chance on a photo on that one, would be great. Still in the dark on Charles' parents' deaths. Guess we'll see if we stumble onto something.

Thanks again,

RE: Charles M. Wilkinson 1878-?

Thanks for your note and nice to be in touch. That info is interesting because it lines up with two things I'm seeing:
1. OR Death Index (1903-1998): Charles M Wilkinson, 1948, Multnomah, OR, cert number: 11540
2. US WWII Draft Registration Cards, 1942: Charles Mathew Wilkinson; draft registration; 1942; Foster, Oregon, US; residence=Foster, Oregon, US; Birth: 25 Sep 1878; Place: Albert lee, MN; Box 136, identifier 563991

Also interesting on #2: under name/address of person who will always know your address, it says "Myrtle Wilkinson, R2 Box 206, Boring, OR" which happens to be his same mailing address in another spot on the record. Because he shows up as divorced in the 1940 census in MN, I'm wondering if he moved west, got remarried before 1942, and then dies in 1948 out there.

Looks like this Lincoln Memorial Cemetery entry for him is brand new as of about 3 weeks ago. So that's a great find. I didn't actually begin looking for this Charles but for info on his mom/dad and their death dates/places because they seem to drop off the radar after 1910 and 1920 censuses. But figured the parents sometimes show up in their kids' entries in later censuses. No such luck with the 3 kids that I have record of. But then got on this side bit with this Charles Jr.

I live in SLC, Utah and get to dabble in this genealogy stuff. It's pretty addicting. I only wish I had a little more time to spend with it...usually a few minutes over lunch. So Charles Sr. grandmother was a Nancy Dalton. Her older brother John is my great great great gfather. I'm 36 and have a wife and 4 kiddos that keep me hopping these days. Really nice to hear from you and hope to be in touch again.

RE: Transfers
Also I think that if you sponsor any of those memorials, they will automatically be transferred to you.

Actually, never mind on that. I did have a question on that...will get back to you on that probably tomorrow.

RE: Lois Waln
I think you meant this for someone else. I didn't say anything about an 1884 burial in Highland Cemetery.

RE: Transfers
I don't manage those memorials. You would have to send requests via the edit tab on those memorials. Someone could have taken over management. If you get no response after 30 days, you would need to contact edit @

Charles Mathew Wilkinson

I think we've maybe been in touch before. Wanted to ask what you know about the 1926 death date for Charles Mathew Wilkinson? I found one reference on a public family tree on Ancestry to that date and it is uncited. But I don't see anything further. Any ideas? I may also have a later death date in 1948 for his son Charles Mathew Wilkinson. He pops up in the 1940 census in MN as divorced, then moves to OR where there's a WWII draft registration record in 1942 and OR death index in 1948. If that's helpful to you. No burial info. But I'm really after his father and any information on death/post-1920 data. Also his mother Ella. They seem to disappear after 1920 and 1910, respectively. Harvey A. also disappears after 1930 census and I can't seem to find anything further on him.

RE: Withrows
I checked the information on the 2 memorials that were recently transferred to me (William Howard Withrow and Lillie Hay(e) Gunn Withrow. I have updated both and they now have the corrected dates. Thank you for catching the errors!
