I was born in 1951, in Phoenix, AZ. I have been researching my family history since 1971. I have ten children and 22 grandchildren. We now live in Mesa, AZ.|
I've always loved cemeteries! There is such wonderful information on this website. I would be glad to help someone else in their search.
While researching some of my family history on this site, I found that someone had taken the time to add photos of obituaries to many of my relatives' memorials. This thoughtful act touched me. I have decided that to repay their kindness - I tried adding memorials for those found in online obituaries for the Arizona Republic, The East Valley Tribune, and the Apache Junction Gold Canyon News, but soon discovered that someone else was duplicating my entries! I then went to a nearby cemetery and took photos of some name plates and created memorials for them. I hope to continue to add memorials to this site.
If you are related to someone whose memorial I have created - I will be happy to transfer it to you - just let me know. If you find any error or omission in a memorial which I have entered, use the edit tab or contact me! Since I may only have had the obituary or the gravestone to go by, many times I do not have all of the information. If you have further information to add to a memorial, I will be happy to make changes.

Hi Claudia - thanks for checking the info - I found Friedrich Vogelsang's memorial in the Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. I was puzzled because he died in 1904, but Marie's mother identified herself as a Widow in the 1900 census. If you're certain that he is the father, I'll link the children to him.

Hi Claudia - thanks for the maiden name tip! If you have time and don't mind, please check out Marie's memorial to see if I've made any errors. I haven't been able to figure out her death date.
Also - I figured out who her mother is - if you are familiar with the family, you might see some mistakes there too. Thank you!

It was my pleasure and quite a fun adventure I took myself on yesterday! Glad you like the pictures. Hopefully I'll get back there later this year and see what else I can find once all the undergrowth has died back.

Claudia, I noticed that you left flowers on the memorial for James E. Reynolds (Find A Grave Memorial# 100935530)and said he was a distant cousin. I just wanted to let you know that I uploaded a photo of his gravestone today.

I didn't set out to specifically take a picture of Opal Couchman's tombstone. I was working on documenting the entire cemetery, and because of that, I don't remember exactly why the picture was not straight on. Most of the time it is because there was something (tree, another stone, Shadow, etc) blocking me from getting a straight shot. If I make it back soon, I will try to remember to double check to see if a straight shot was possible. When possible, I multiple angles just so that reading the stones is easier, so that may have been the only angle I could get. It was 91 degrees and extremely humid, so it is also possible that I was just exhausted by the time I got to that area.

Hi again, I just added the photos. I like for family to make them if possible . When I find them and no one says anything I will make a memorial. Wayne actually found the Carters and took the photo of the babies too. Best Wishes, Connie

Hi again, buried next to Julia and Stephen Carter are two children not listed with them. They are on one stone, Lloyd S. and Sarah S. we took a photo of the stone and I added the double pic to Stephan's Memorial. There are no dates. If you would like to make memorials for them I will add the photo. It says Children of S.K. and J. Carter. Thanks, Connie
