Joel & Emily Matthews
I've corrected the 1851 birth year you entered to the accurate 9 Sept 1850, shown both on Joel's gravestone and his death certificate. Joel should not have been included on the 1850 census, as he was born after the June 1 census date. I believe you're confusing the enumerator's "visit" date with the census date. Please note the instructions atop the "name" column on the census sheet...
"The name of every Person whose usual abode on the first day of June, 1850, was in this family" were to be enumerated.

I hope that helps to clarify. Thanks for adding the links and information I sent.

RE: Re: Peter Fuqua
The other person had to have deleted their duplicate. That was fast. I have received several replies this afternoon. Everyone is indoors reading their emails! Thank you!

Thank you for transferring her, and thanks for your profile, it made me laugh, especially 'cause it's so true for Tennesseans!
