Please don't ask to post "Nicknames", as some names are long enough. The only exception is if the obit doesn't mention the nick name.|
I'm sorry if I am offending people because I'm posting "Unknown" cemeteries, but a lot of these memorials would go un-posted.
Posting "Unknown" cemeteries will at least help future generation to locate where the person's area of death.
I will transfer any memorial I have, only ask for the memorial if you plan to add extra information.
I live in Irving, Texas, and I'm doing research on the following surnames. Estrick, Eastright, Estright, McLardy/MacLardy, McCall, Williams and Carter. I'm looking for several graves in Texas, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Will travel in a 50 mile radius for you. Please let me know if I've enter some wrong information.If you would like to add some information or have me transfer anyone, that is your family, just follow F.A.G. procedures. Thank you.
"If you are a family member or friend who would like the listing transferred to you please use the edit tab on a memorial to leave me a message. I will respond to you as fast as I can, sometimes I'm away from the computers for over a week.
"I'm really not picky about who I transfer a memorial to since I am not related to most of the people in the memorials I have added. I don't really follow the rules for transfers on Find A Grave and would much rather see someone who knew the person maintain the memorial".

Would you mind transferring the memorial of Teresa Terrill Thurman. She is my grandmother. Thank you in advance.

Ok. Now of course I cannot find a double. Oh well. It's frustrating when you're looking for a name and you have to search through duplicates.
I read your bio and feel exactly the same way you do about "unknown" cemeteries. Post them! You never know when somebody will be looking for that person and you may be a God-send to the searcher.
And if you post the obituary showing there was no burial place listed, that's one less step the searcher has to take.

No problem, I've had days like that too. : )

I am now posting pictures for Beaver Valley Cemetery. There are 2 entries for Robert. 61248807 and 129161593. Joan of VA in 2010 and yours in 2014. Would you kindly merge the info from yours into hers or whatever works. Sorry to keep bugging you
|Vonnie L Cantrell||RE: Laban Hartley Sr. #34375320|
You are exactly correct about Laban Hartley. I went back to his records. The DAR listed his birth as circa 1753 and his Application, itself, stated that he was 81 in 1832, so his birth must have been in 1751 or 1752: I used the 1751 date. That would be more in line for Elizabeth to be his mother. Thank you so much for your help!
Again, thank you so much for the transfer! Have you visited my Virtual Cemetery of the Battle of King's Mountain? I wish you would - you pay attention to detail and that is the kind of person I need.
A word of explanation: when I began the project to preserve the actual participants of BKM, Wayne's mother had been diagnosed with leukemia and required 24/7 care. I didn't feel comfortable going to meetings, so did not join any organizations. Instead, I chose a project that allowed me to stay with her.
I did not realize the scope of the project when I started or I may not have started. I cannot believe the hundreds of the Patriots who do not have memorials. I think I have a memorial for everyone in Moss's book "The Patriots at Kings Mountain" and I have some who were listed in White and Summers. Next, I will be working on Summers. Before I tackled that, I have been going through the memorials already created and trying to clean them up: thanks for your help on Hartley - I am still working on the "B's" and wouldn't have found Hartley for 10 days or so.
There were so many Heroes that did not have memorials that I have had to regroup. I thought there would be 5 or 6 and no more than 10. I wanted to build a cenotaph for each Hero.
I was just stupid. There were hundreds. I have only 5 acres at this house, so the logistics prevented that plan. And the cost constraints were prohibitive as well - I was on my way to spending hundreds of thousands of dollars constructing cenotaphs.
So I have had to regroup and redesign my Memorial Garden. You know what a kiln is: many people don't so don't understand what I am doing - my neighbors think I am just plain weird the way I look for just the right rock.

Thanks for the clarification. I wanted to tell you that i reLly like the picture you posted of Josephine Reynolds. Dick and Jo use to visit my parents a lot when I was young.
Again, if you catch a goof on my part please let me know
|Pamela Bolinda Pate||RE: Frances E. Hilbold Thomas|
I have posted pictures of headstones without death dates because the name is on find a grave already. Unfortunately some never get the headstone updated. If you catch something I have done wrong, please let me know as I want to do things correctly.

I ay be mistaken but I believe your memorial (148390962)is a duplicate for one posted in 2010 by AIG.(61003411)Please check it out and act accordingly. Not trying to be offensive, just striving for accuracy
|Maureen||RE: Margaret Dumm|

Indirectly via the Sitzer line, but my data base is huge. I try to run lines down to the current time when possible.
By the way, I am extremely grateful for the work you and other F.A.G. persons do. Thank you.
