I am 46 years old and have 3 children. Family history has always interested me. Find A Grave is a great way to help others learn more about their own family's past.|
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I'd exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you.

Thanks for the fine work on the Sours (no doubt originally Sauer). This is for a friend, his ancestors, but if I find burials without memorials, I just have to create them. It's nice to show a friend a picture of his ancestor's grave far away. Was there any further data on Bertha? This is probably Sebastian's daughter, age one in 1870. Sebastian and his wife seem to have subtracted two years from their ages between 1900 and their deaths.
Thank you so very much for fulfilling my recent photo request for John Angarano's gravestone. Sincerely appreciate your efforts and excellent photography! Many thanks!
