I am 46 years old and have 3 children. Family history has always interested me. Find A Grave is a great way to help others learn more about their own family's past.|
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I'd exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you.

Marie and Max are Ludwig's children by his first marriage; will send connection information to you; thanks !
|Dan Meyer||RE: Lederer|
What an awful year for the Lederer family; can't imagine. Learn so much through Find-A-Grave. You're a champ; will add Carl and his mother to my unmarked graves list -- think I need to shake the family down for some stones !

Thank you for his photo and also for creating a memorial for his wife Mary. It is very much appreciated. Hope this upcoming weekend is a good one for you.

|Dan Meyer||Judy, sent you some material.|
To connect August Heberger's spouse, Maria Anna Meyer Heberger, to him and her parents, Martin and Eva Kolb Meyer. Martin and Eva were the grandparents of the Edward who has no stone. Thanks for stitching this together ! Dan Meyer, great great grandson of Martin and great nephew of Edward.

Judy, this explains so much; pretty sure that is his Aunt's family plot; Ed died young, and we were in the hurt locker financially, so they probably buried him where they could. I will work on a stone. Dan Meyer
