21 days ago, I sent you informational edits to add to the bios of two different memorials that you manage but I do not see that they have been added.
Can you look through your emails for them? If it is easier for you, I would be happy to take over management of the memorials.

Please add this news article for Whirlow. I have omitted some because of the graphic description. His middle name is Grant.
"The Baldwin Ledger", 14 Apr. 1893
SUICIDE - A Young Man Takes His Own Life in a Horrible Manner
News reached Baldwin Monday morning of a horrible suicide at Vinland. Grant Whirlow, a young man about twenty-three years of age, a graduate of the State University, and a son of G. W. Whirlow, a well-to-do farmer, became tired of life, and at about nine o'clock Sunday evening, committed suicide. . . . Young Whirlow is well known in Baldwin, and the act was a great shock and surprise to his friends. No cause is given for the shocking step, except that the deceased had been having poor health for the past few months.

Please add this short news article for John C. Whirlow:
"The Baldwin Ledger," 16 Sept. 1887
Mr. John C. Wherlow [Whirlow], son of our old fellow citizen of Vinland died Sept. 1st in Stevens County where he was living on a claim. His remains were brought home by his brother who arrived Sunday morning Sept. 4th, and were interred in the Vinland Cemetery.

Please consider the following for possible posting on the Findagrave site.
Source: William G. Cutler’s “History of the State of Kansas, DOUGLAS COUNTY, Part 36.”
GEORGE W. WHIRLOW, farmer, Section 15, P. O. Vinland, was born in Davison County, N. C., May 28, 1830, son of John Whirlow and Sarah Long. He came to Kansas in 1863, and purchased a farm in Palmyra Township containing 110 acres, which is under cultivation. Mr. W. was married in Milford, Ind., September 5, 1856, to Miss Emeline, daughter of Solomon Alley and Catherine Gant. They have eight children - John C., born June 19, 1857; William S., born November 28, 1858; Indiana, June 21, 1860; Cassius M., April 9, 1862; Sarah I., March 26, 1864; Olive, February 23, 1866; Ulysses G., January 23, 1868; Maggie R., November 15, 1870. Mr. W. is a member of the M. E. Church of Vinland.
Submitted by Ann Harris Humble, great great granddaughter of George W. and Emeline Whirlow.

MrPeepers - Thank you for the Whirlow information at the Vinland Cemetery. "Ulusses" was actually Ulysses G. Whirlow who was probably named for Ulysses Grant. I believe his birthdate should be January 23, 1868. This checks with Cutler's Douglas County entry for the George W. Whirlow family. George and Emeline Whirlow are my great-great grandparents, through their daughter Sarah Whirlow Pottorf. Thank you.
|Robert Frey||RE: Albert Frey|
Thank you, Mr. Peepers for your Find A Grave volunteering.
Hopefully, you can help me. My great uncle Albert Frey's death certificate shows that he was buried in "Highland Park Cemetery" in 1918 and shows an address that I think is 1915 East B.
You listed him as buried in Highland Cemetery.
In researching, I found that Highland was an African-American cemetery in Kansas City, MO.
Albert was white.
There is a Highland Park Cemetery in Kansas City, KS.
Since you know the area, do you think that my great uncle could be buried in the Kansas Cemetery.

MrPeepers, if possible, I would appreciate it if you would transfer the site for Mamie to me--she is my Aunt. I have many of her personal papers including her delayed birth certificate and wedding information in my possession as well as pictures. I was also personally acquainted with her.
I only contribute to Find A Grave with information on my close relatives, but I truly appreciate all those hard working people such as you who have contributed so much in setting up thousands of memorial sites.
