|Marlene Chaney||Ruth Mae Hadley Reed|
I'm in the process of updating my tree on ancestry and came across your entry in F-A-G, Find A Grave Memorial# 77442237, for Ruth Mae Hadley Reed. Can you tell me why you have shown her married name to be Light instead of Reed as shown on the gravestone?
Interestingly, even though Ruth died in 1997 there is NO listing for her in the Social Security Death Index under the dates shown on the gravestone. Puzzles me!! I do know that some people never get into SSDI so maybe that explains it.
One last comment; Even though Utah is home to LDS I would have thought they would have more records available through Ancestry. The collection is very sparse indeed.
|Randy Higley||Dinas Rasmussen, Hunsville|
Are you related to Dinas and/or Meta Rasmussen (Memorial# 23349769 and 23349770)? I am trying to find out about a girl they raised from 8 weeks old, Annie Kristina Dortha Nielsen (Memorial #127461245), and what happened to her mother Chrisina Tockelsen/Tackelsen/Therhilson after she was given to the Rasmussen's. I have a personal history written by Annie that only says she was given to the Rasmussen's, her mother "left this place", and that she never knew her mother. Nothing more is said about her mother or her mother's parents. I found a 1870's Census that put a Tackelsen family nearby Lars Larsen who she eventually marries but by 1880 the family is gone, and Annie is with the Rasmussen's. Thanks for any information you can share.
|Ginny Gage||RE: Parsonage Road Cemetery|
Do you know anything about Cornish? If you know where the Cornish Fair is each year, that's a help. It's on the road next to the Cornish Fair where the horse pulling is done. If you go up that road from Town House Road, it's after our highway department, on the right, on top of a little hill, perhaps 1/2 a mile from Town House Road. You have to park on Parsonage Road and climb up some steep steps.
Someone there you're specifically looking for? It's really tucked into the woods. One cemetery I want to get to to take photos of the stones, but need to do it when the leaves on the trees are all off.
|Joe Aldous||Aldous Family|
I am updating my Aldous family tree on Ancestry and have found the information that you have added to Find a Grave has enabled me to add much interesting and valuable information. Thank you very much for the work you have put into this project.
I have already found links to the Bingham family so maybe we are related in some way. Do you have a family tree on Ancestry or genesreunited that is available for other members to view? It could be possible that we could exchange information. I am happy to exchange information with any other members researching the Aldous family line.
