I kept putting this short bio off, but after doing photo requests for people and "meeting them" through their bios, I decided it was time. I am a retired school teacher who loves doing genealogy work and exploring cemeteries. I love the concept of Find A Grave where people in different areas are so willing to help each other with photos. When my husband and I are fulfilling photo requests, we sometimes add more stones to a cemetery. I am always willing to "give these up" to family members who can add more information. Just ask.|

I'm very grateful for your wonderful Davis / Chambelain photos from the Graceland Cemetery in Avoca, Iowa! Thank you so much!
|Kathy Burr||RE: John J. HALLER in Litchfield, NE Cemetery|
Hi, Barbara! I am a Sherman County genealogist linking everybody in that county - I have photographed all the cemeteries - am finishing Evergreen now, then will work on Litchfield! I linked John to his parents, but did not work on rest of the Haller family as there are many buried there! if you can be patient, the entire family will be done within the next 6 months - I do not know about his occupation, BUT, one of my other projects is adding obits to findagrave, so hopefully I will come across his!! :) k

|Carol Lynn White||America Sarvis|
I don't know if America M. Sarvis B:1847, ever married, I tried looking in the area for the name America, but was not successful.
She, their mother Mary B:1823, or her brother Henry S. B: 1850 were not heard from after the probate wrapped up in 1856.
There were quite a few pages with the name spelled "Sarvice", and some with "Sarvis" which is correct.
Everyone was in the 1850 Greenfield, Dade, Missouri Federal Census. By 1860 everyone had scattered, and a lot of them went to Iowa, because their uncle Jonathan Sarvis was there.
I have asked Dade County to do a more extensive search to see if they missed something, like a remarriage of the mother, she was quite young.
I also asked Hopkins, TX to do a search for the two older siblings, and was told I have 25 pages of lineage on the way, so I hope to have some more juicy stuff this week.

Thank you for the very nice photo of Catherine's grave. I noticed that the name is spelled differently on the stone, so I changed it through the edit tab. Also, I just received probate records for her father, and her given name was Julia Cathryn Sarvis.She was a twin to her sister America M. who I cannot find. She may be going by her middle name as well, but it wasn't different in the probate records.
I learned quite a bit from those records. A great find.
Thank you again, for all the edits.

Thank you for adding Mary's death notice.
|Carol Lynn White||Carl Gustafsen|
Thank you for the nice photo of Carl's grave, and all of your help with edits.
|Carl Bennett||RE: Jennie Elwell|
Looks to be beyond reasonable doubt to me.
Thank you so much for conferring with me!
|Carol Lynn White||George SARVIS|
Thank you so much for all of your edits and photos.
Yes, George married Anna Maria Gustafsen. To my knowledge, they had no children.
A transfer would be nice, although not necessary. I love the new editing system, for the most part, if the contributors see that they have edits, it works pretty well.
Thank you again, the photos are wonderful.
