if you will take the picture you put on Mary's memorial off I think this will be straightened out. Jack Johnson put a picture of her gravestone on her memorial also. This was confusing and that's why I sent you a copy of Edna Ruth's obit for her memorial to give some info on all this and proof of his second marriage. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'm glad I knew Mr. McElreath personally to be able to have more info to straighten it out. That's why the obits help so much when we are in a situation as this was.

Have a great day.

RE: canup
That is really strange because someone took the picture for me and why would the death date be added if he was not there. Usually you can question it when there is no death date.

I am not 100% sure that Agnes is buried here. Her last name was Davis and her and my Uncle Hulon Canup married late in life. My uncle passed away first and I really think her family might have buried her somewhere else and that is why there is not death date. I keep thinking I will make it down to the Cemetery and ask about it.

RE: Canup
Yes it does. I am so passionate about this project hoping to get as many documented since the old headstones are deteriorating and if they are documented the will be gone forever.

RE: Pierce
Hi DJ,
You said at one time you were related to Pierces as well. I have a Ruth Pierce in my family, that's connected to my great grandfather Miner Pierce who married Ada Butler from Athens Ga. I'm hitting a brick wall with the Pierce family. That name Glady Ruth Pierce sounds familiar. I was just wondering if your grandmother was ever at one time in the state of Ga.? I can't seem to find my Ruth Pierce full name that's buried in Athens Ga., or who's she's named after if any.I wasn't raised knowing to many Pierce family. I was just curious if she had relatives in Ga.

Thanks so much!
