Bio

Much of my family originated in Virginia and North Carolina - three of my grandparents. The other grandparent's family came from the Hudson and Mohawk River Valleys of New York State and then spent about a generation in Ohio in and near Zanesville, Ohio. I was surprised how much of my family I was able to find with the exception of my clan which I can only trace back three generations in TX. Many other direct families were involved in the Revolutionary War (at least a dozen). A large number of officers and soldiers in the Civil War with the majority on the rebel side; with one family having Captain brothers on each side. Most generally I will not transfer memorial pages (indirect or direct relatives) as I loose continuity in painting a broad picture of our famalies. I am open to posting information and all link your family members that you may want to be known about your ancestors.
