Please use the edit tab when requesting updates to a memorial. Findagrave has improved the edit process by allowing you to request changes through the edit tab, which will automatically go into the fields as you have entered them. This speeds up the process and reduces the chance of error. I have found findagrave.com while doing geneology research. It has turned out to be one of the biggest assets in my research. I wanted to be able to give back and decided to become a findagrave member. After finding family my cousin Wayne and I have spent a great deal of time looking for our relatives gravestones. He is a part of the Birdtracker's team for all Arkansas entries and has been there at each photo shooting. Wayne is the provider of information on the Birdwell/Tucker side, most of whom have been buried in Boone County, Arkansas. At this time we are researching the Birdwell, Harding Rowlett, Milam/Milum, Robertson/Roberson/Robinson, and Cato, through the Birdwell line. Malbaff, Thrasher, Mosher, Hook, Wolfe, Gordon, Tucker, Baughman, Eoff, Darnell, Dudley, and Srader, families. Currently we are doing mostly family and friends, but hope to expand. Occasionally graves are photographed that are not family or friends. We believe that memorials should belong to family members whenever possible, as family have a personal interest in honoring their relatives and are better able to complete, maintain and improve memorials with additional details and research. We are more than willing to have family members "adopt" them provided they are not in our family. We do make an exception to this for persons who have been findagrave members for a very short time, and those who manage a significantly larger amount of memorials than they have contributed. A great number of our entries are family. Please feel free to use any photos which we have posted in your research work. Recently we have photographed headstones, which are not as clean as we would like, for informational purposes, only to find that contributors account is disabled so they cannot receive suggestions. Those photos have been posted for the information they provide.|

It is my pleasure to do this for people. I make a special effort to clean the monument or plaque, cut away grass and dirt. I am glad you like them.

Yes, you may use the photo. I appreciate the credit given.
|Larry H.||Brown Headstone|
I was able to speak to a direct descendent of Caroline Brown and was advised that the stone was for their great-great-grandmother Caroline HAUVER Brown. Glad that issue is resolved and it never was that big of a deal, as some tried to make it.

I do not wish to use your message space for an ongoing disagreement with Ms Templeton but as with an disagreement, there are two sides. Just suffice it to say that you need to take her information with the provable "grain of salt". I have provided the references to her to show there were two Caroline Browns, a GORDON, the other a HAUVER. She refuses to accept the information.
As to "Adam Brown", there is every reason to believe he is the same person as Joseph Adam Brown, F.A.G. # 71990349. Paulette can not prove or disapprove this.
Please excuse us for using your msg. board for our "discussion".

|Paulette Bivens Templeton||The Adam Brown Family|
I wanted to share the most recent discoveries found in the Brown Family. Adam Brown's wife, Caroline was a Hauver, not a Gordon as so many over the years have thought. They were married in Washington Co., Maryland, not Frederick Co., Maryland, 1851 not 1853. I personally found this in the Washington Co. Courthouse in 2013. I had gone to the Frederick Co. Courthouse and Adam and Caroline's marriage record was not in that county. A clerk suggested I look at nearby Washington Co. which was closer to the mountain where they lived. There it was, February 18, 1851, Adam Brown and Caroline Hauver. She was the daughter of Johanne George Hauver III and Elizabeth Sweeney Hauver. We continue to look for Adam's parents.
