Please use the edit tab when requesting updates to a memorial. Findagrave has improved the edit process by allowing you to request changes through the edit tab, which will automatically go into the fields as you have entered them. This speeds up the process and reduces the chance of error. I have found findagrave.com while doing geneology research. It has turned out to be one of the biggest assets in my research. I wanted to be able to give back and decided to become a findagrave member. After finding family my cousin Wayne and I have spent a great deal of time looking for our relatives gravestones. He is a part of the Birdtracker's team for all Arkansas entries and has been there at each photo shooting. Wayne is the provider of information on the Birdwell/Tucker side, most of whom have been buried in Boone County, Arkansas. At this time we are researching the Birdwell, Harding Rowlett, Milam/Milum, Robertson/Roberson/Robinson, and Cato, through the Birdwell line. Malbaff, Thrasher, Mosher, Hook, Wolfe, Gordon, Tucker, Baughman, Eoff, Darnell, Dudley, and Srader, families through the Malbaff line. Currently we are doing mostly family and friends, but hope to expand. Occasionally graves are photographed that are not family or friends. We believe that memorials should belong to family members whenever possible, as family have a personal interest in honoring their relatives and are better able to complete, maintain and improve memorials with additional details and research. We are more than willing to have family members "adopt" them provided they are not in our family or are friends. We do make an exception to this for persons who have been findagrave members for a very short time, and those who manage a significantly larger amount of memorials than they have contributed. A great number of our entries are family. Please feel free to use any photos which we have posted in your research work. Recently we have photographed headstones, which are not as clean as we would like, for informational purposes, only to find that contributors account is disabled so they cannot receive suggestions. Those photos have been posted for the information they provide.|

"I never have used chalk on any of my photos."
Chalked marker photos will be deleted by Find A Grave when a new non-chalked marker photo is posted. That was done on this memorial.
Love the photo...it was outstanding!
|Linda Davis||Thanks for the photo|
Thank you for posting Alford Adair's full marker photo ...and no 2009 chalking left on the marker! It is really beautiful. You out did yourself. Your kindness is most appreciated. I am thrilled!

|JFerg||Memorial Transfer and Thank you|
Thank you so much for transferring our family members to us. That means so much!
All of my dad's family are buried at Salem Cemetery. The only family member of my dad's that was not transferred was 73312961 Gladys Hammontree.
She is my grandmother Mary Ferguson's sister, my dad's mother's sister, who we were all very close to. Gladys babysat me when I was young. She is buried close to her mother Florence Ryan who you transferred to us. Gladys had a son Chester who helped me with my coin collecting and her son Eddie was deaf and worked as a print setter at the Kansas City Star. She also had a son Bob and daughter Mary Lou. Gladys first husband was Chester Rice with whom she had these four children. He was exposed to gas poisoning in WWI and died in the Veteran's home in Excelsior Springs. Gladys then married Howard Hammontree. She lived on Short Street close to Independence Square according to my dad. Thank you for your consideration of transferring Aunt Gladys to us.
