Born in Pasadena, Ca., raised in the San Gabriel Valley East of Los Angeles. Moved to Portland, Oregon in 1989. Have been here since and love it! Veteran of Vietnam, Infantry with the 101st Airborne. My Father was a medic in WWII and I have relatives that were in the Civil War. It seems that every time someone throws a war my family gets invited!|
I have been enjoying genealogy for thirty five years. It wasn't until the internet, that the doors swung wide open! I mostly enjoy the pioneer cemeteries, for the history.
I am more than happy to turn over any of my memorial pages to a family member that is yours. Please help me with any corrections on the entries that I have made. If you have anything that you want added to the memorial pages I created please let me know.

Hello Bill, There has been significant restoration of Pleasant View Cemetery (West). I would like to add a restored image of Mr. Calvin Kiser to his memorial. The page has reached it's limit for images so I am wondering if you might remove his military service image to be replace by a post restoration image. Thank you for consideration.

That's the way I would have done it to. Get them posted so there is some account.
I truly appreciate all the work you have done.
Take care, Robie

Greetings and Hi Bill,
Someone goofed with his birth date of 1883. It should be Mar 1872/1873. Oregon Death Index says that he died in Clackamas County. A part of Portland resides in Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington County. Some people do not know that.
His name must be in the Oregonian newspaper. Maybe you could find it and post it.
That would be wonderful.
His birth parent's it seems are buried in Southern Oregon. It seems that they have the same name.
Hope that your life is going well.

I am trying to link relatives on Find A Grave. I saw your post on the above. I have a John Burrell Bender buried Restlawn Memory Gardens in Oregon that I believe is her husband. Find A Grave also has a B.V. Bender linked that I believe is wrong.
Anyways do you know more about this entry...related?

Bill - hello. just found your memorial for APW at Memorial# 45709930.
Are you related? I'm always looking for new family and I am related to Anna's father, Amos - son of Richard Wright, Sr.
Also, may I offer a minor correction to her site? She is the 'wife of' - not 'husband of'.

Bill, could you look into this burial for me? I just tried to get a headstone photo for a page you created for:
But the Findagrave volunteer who claimed my request said he found no burial record for this person. Did you work up the page from the burial record, from walking the cemetery, or from personal knowledge of this burial?
I'm just trying to understand if this burial really exists in this cemetery or not. I know Phil's sister Tisa Tyree is buried there so it's logical the family might have wanted to use Riverview.

Please, Please, Please, check your records. My aunt Pearl Dee Stryker married George Wissinger but as far as anyone in the family knows she never was a "Dumbaugh". I refer you to this article:
