Genealogy is like a Family Puzzle of names. Fitting the pieces together can be quite a challenge. Sometimes they don't fit just right and you keep looking for the right "Piece" to complete it. It is truly rewarding to know your "Ancestors" and honor them.

Joyce-I'm thinking you my be a relative of Nellie & Henry. I tried the new transcription of the photo's I took, thinking F.a.G.would match with the existing record. So far, that hasn't happened. The site created an additional memorial for them. I just wanted to let you know, there is now more info./dates & photos regarding them.

|mishihu||RE: Martha (Smith) Squires|
Thanks Joyce! I appreciate your candid response. I, too, am skeptical of her Indian heritage. I hope to take one of the ancestry DNA tests someday which may reveal any Native American ancestry. I would only be about 3-4% Native American, however, if Martha was 100% Native American. That percentage is a bit low - not sure if that would fall under the margin of error for these tests. A generation or two earlier (closer to Martha) than I am would have a higher percentage and greater chance of revealing that supposed Native American ancestry or not.
Thanks again for the response! Much appreciated!

Hoping you can provide some information on Martha (Smith) Squires. You have her mother as being Martha Jackson - do you have source information for this? Also, do you documentation on her supposed Native American ancestry?

|B Wallace||DeWitt lineage|
Thank you for the great detail and wonderful work you have done in your genealogy research. I'm related to the DeWitt limb of your family tree. My name is Bethany Boris and my mother is a DeWitt. My grandfather is Forrest DeWitt, great-grandfather Lewis DeWitt, gg-grandfather Albert Wesley DeWitt, ggg-grandfather is Edward K. DeWitt. I'm very interested in learning more about this side of my family and I have many questions to ask you. There is some family "lore" a DeWitt cousin and I trying to figure out. Joyce, or anyone who sees this message and has information for me please feel free to respond this post or send me an email at Pasttags@gmail.com.
Thank you in advance for your help.

|Jen Rakeman||RE: William D. Squires|
Hi - I am happy to share what I have found on the family. My email is jhrake at yahoo. Thanks.
|Jen Rakeman||William D. Squires|
I think the stone for William and his family was transcribed incorrectly - with names used again and again I can see why! Would you accept some updates? I have his obituary that could be posted as well.
Thanks, Jen Rakeman
|James H Harris||Effie Harris Squires|
I came across your name in FindAGrave..Effie is/was my 1st Great Aunt, the daughter of my G-grandfather, James Harris. I've been to their gravesite at Lakeview in South Haven, but not yet to Chambers or Covert. Van Buren Co. is about 2 hours from Angola,IN, our residence....perhaps in the spring I'll make it over there. Joan Jaco, a local genealogist from the Camden area, was a big help in helping me sort things out.
IF I can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Happy New Year!
James Hewitt Harris
