Bio

I grew up in Roscoe, Illinois. The daughter to Melvin and Joanne (Trimble) Miller.
I became interested in genealogy about 15 years ago, when my mother and some of her cousins began researching their family from Southern Illinois. She grew up in Jasper Co.,Illinois.
With moms almost completed, we began to research the Miller/Olafsen side of the family with my dad about 8 years ago. I have since recruited my husband.

The family names we are researching are:

Abbiehl,Anderson,Bartol,Belken,Campbell,
Countryman,Henderson,Gross,Fairchild,Kincaid,
Matheny,Metcalfe,Miller,Musgrove,Newlin,Olafsen,
Pierce,Trimble,Weaver,Wilfong,Wiseley

If you think we might be related, please stop by to say hello. I have had distant relatives whom I never met contact me through Find a grave. I have been able to fill in blank family information because of Find a grave.

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care,
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I'd exist,
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago -
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
and come to visit you.
