Researching the descendents of Christopher J. Kartchner and Prudence Ann Wilcox - both of Philadelphia.
Brothers, Gary & Michael, have been doing genealogical research independently and jointly for many years.
Michael is still focused on the family line of our Great great grandfather, William Decatur Kartchner [two wives and 22 children - we are descended from the first son of his second wife]. Michael can be emailed at firstname.lastname@example.org
After completing his research [narrowly focused on the direct lineage of their parents]
Gary has branched out into discovering more about William's two sisters, Margaret [who married James Webb] and Sarah [who married Thomas G.W. Pigg] and about William's brother, John Christopher.
The remaining brother, Peter W, his surname seemed to have evolved into "KETCHNER" is still someone that needs to be followed up. Would welcome any information about him, his wives or children. AS noted under "Virtual Cemeteries", several of Peter's descendants have been posted or discovered posted to Find a Grave.
Joseph M. Scott (50531556) You are taking care of his memorial in Antle Cemetery. Do you know when he got married to Susannah Kartchner? The reason I am asking is because I think Joseph M. Scott (50531556) was married 1st to my cousin Hester (Hessa) Cox (50453234). Hester and Joseph M. were married November 8, 1860 in Jasper County, Iowa. I would like to link him to my cousin.
Josephine Reese Arnold Gary, I am sorry but I have no further information on Josephine, You might want to check with The Los Angeles Times newspaper obits. and also The Long Beach Press-Telegram obits.
RE: Reese Markers I'm happy to help. If you find more detail on garden & plot, I would be happy to go back out there for you. One thing I noticed that might help is that the obit on Helen indicates Fairmount Mortuary. If that is the case, they are likely at Fairmount Cemetery. I know the Fairmount volunteer that can help, if you find that they are buried there. Just let me know.
Kartchner Apologies for the inadvertent duplication. The memorials I created for Forest Lawn are from a copy of their database, misspellings and all. So, when uploaded to Find A Grave, if the name was slightly different, it didn't show as a duplicate. I've transferred the memorial to you, so you can copy any information you might like (generally, plot info is what most people want). Then, feel free to delete if you like. We've got a great group of volunteers for Forest Lawn Cypress, and they are always willing to photograph, so feel free to request. Happy holidays and best wishes.
