Please feel free to use any pics that I post on Findagrave and please contact me about any changes or transfers. I took them for each of you to have!

I have been doing genealogy for about 5 years now. My sister and I have been going to different cemeteries around our county and taking pictures of headstones and adding them. We have been successful at finding a few cemeteries hidden on people's properties. We do not have family ties in these cemeteries, we do it to help everyone else. We also do it to document old graves before they are long gone and no one knows they were there. I have been searching for several family graves in other states for years. I hope someone comes across them one day and I hope we come across one that you are looking for one day!

RE: James Caudill
Yes, I understand that the birth and death dates are not the same. However, the dates given on the memorial already in place are the dates on the stone given by the DAR, which is also the same stone you have in your memorial. I submit to you that having two F.A.G. memorials for the same individual is confusing. James is also my 7th great grandfather.

Thank you for pointing out that there is a duplicate entry for this woman. However, my post includes a photo of the grave, plot information, and a link to her husband, that the other post does not. Perhaps it would make more sense to have the other post deleted, or at least to combine the information and delete one of the posts? Thanks,
Mary Ellen

I tried to put in for a photo of Martha's grave. An error came back saying that I had a request in already. I checked my photo requests and hers isn't one of them. If you could help me with a photo that would be wonderful. We have emailed each other before. Hope this finds you all well. Thank you

RE: W H Duble headstone/marker
Thank you. W H Duble is/was my great-grandfather. I'll take your word for it that getting a better picture of the headstone may be difficult. I have seen some that are extremely difficult to read in person, let alone a photograph. Sometimes it's just a matter of the right light at the right time of day that makes a world of difference with a picture.

Also, the way the photo on findagrave has been cropped so that you can't read the full date of death. If you could post the picture so that the entire headstone is visible it would be much appreciated so I could see all possible markings on it.

I noticed a symbol on the headstone that looks like a crude tree with branches. I don't know if that is a military symbol, religious symbol, or some other kind of symbol. If you have any ideas about the symbol I would like to hear what you think.

Thanks again for your help!
