Please feel free to use any pics that I post on Findagrave and please contact me about any changes or transfers. I took them for each of you to have!

I have been doing genealogy for about 5 years now. My sister and I have been going to different cemeteries around our county and taking pictures of headstones and adding them. We have been successful at finding a few cemeteries hidden on people's properties. We do not have family ties in these cemeteries, we do it to help everyone else. We also do it to document old graves before they are long gone and no one knows they were there. I have been searching for several family graves in other states for years. I hope someone comes across them one day and I hope we come across one that you are looking for one day!

would like to transfer them to me,
I'd be happy to keep them. If
not, please take the obits and
put on your site as I put them
up. Opal Joyce Jessee is I. T.'s
second wife, and John Taze Jessee
is his son by that marriage.

Hope they fix it
Good ;-> Hope they can fix it ..as everyone is listed in siblings sections .. Go check around other memorials and you will see memorial name is listed among the names. Maybe they want to be able to help us see where the person falls among the ages of the siblings #wise.
I sent an email off to them when I saw siblings section show up the first time..[thinking it was a glitch] and the memorial I had just added also included his name in the list.
But of course I never heard back [yet]
thanks

RE Siblings new FAG listings
Hi ..Yeah the first time I noticed a person listed in the siblings list I scratched my head and figured something was listed wrong. But it seems that all children , including the person of the memorial will show in the list of siblings .
Sorta odd but guess program just picks up all children as they are posted and linked. Kinda neat but kinda confusing to . I dont think they needed to add it but since ancestory.com bought it out , new little thingies are showing up and I betcha it wont be the last new change.
Took me a while to get use to seeing siblings listed but have now found it a great way to find missing unlinked lines per groups. So I am thinkin I sorta like it now maybe..lol

Mary Yarbrough
I found the marker for Mary Yarbrough at Moore's Union Christian Church. I spoke with Linda (I believe she was the choir director). She said she believes that the marker I photographed is a replacement for an older marker which was destroyed by vandals several years ago. There were other Yarbroughs whose markers were also destroyed and replaced. No birth or death dates were available for any of them except for two: Thomas Yarbrough, 1872 - 1902 and A C Yarbrough 2/25/1849 -12/9/1921. AC Yarbrough's marker was the only original one left. There were also replaced markers for Mollie Yarbrough, Lula Wicker, John Wicker, James Yarbrough, David Yarbeough. Linda said there were MANY "Yarborough's" (note spelling) buried at the Memphis Church on Poplar Springs Church Rd. I went there and took several photos. If you are interested in any of these, Please let me know. Love, Laura

Thank you so much for pointing out the duplication I made of Vicey's memorial page. I deleted one of them.

America Virginia Cordell
I have posted a photo of her marker. The lettering on this marker can only be seen in the early afternoon, when the sun is in the right position; at other times it is completely illegible. It seems that her birth date was in August 1854, since she died on April 2, 1855, at 7 months, 14 days, according to the church burial record. However the cemetery directory says 1851 -- probably a misreading of the inscription. I had Gary Virts change the date.

Thanks
Thanks for letting me know about the duplicated memorials. They were all created on the same day. I'm not that crazy, lol! Must've been a glitch. I have deleted all but one. ;)
