I thoroughly enjoy genealogy and it is my sincere hope that I am able to help someone else in the search for their ancestors.|
I am a confirmed believer in my Lord Jesus Christ and an ordained minister through the Alliance of Abundant Life Fellowships. I believe that because of what Christ has done, we are obligated to do what is right (according to Him) WHETHER OR NOT it benefits us. I believe it is our JOB to glorify God, for no matter how we live our lives God WILL be glorified. I believe that the Lord wants us (Jew and Christian alike) to be a beacon of light in this crazy and violent world. If God is with us, who can be against us and win?

Hanna Jennie Alkire Eager is my great grandma. If my Ancestry tree is correct, Reverend John Alkire is mt 4th great grand uncle. He was saved at the Cane Ridge Revival in 1801.See Jennie's picture on findagrave.com for the Marion Cemetery in Marion Ohio.

Thank you for taking the time to provide photos on Find a Grave. He was my Gr Uncle and I was able to share the 2 photos with a cousin.

Most of I'm finding is from the 'mentions' of death on daily movement reports of the County Infirmary and later 'Home'. Then it's a matter of looking up the date range in the paper's for obit's.
It's getting there. I've had to track down actual County Home Records from other sources though...

Dear The Reverend,
I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to get to Hannah Brockway's update (#29680229). I was stricken with a very severe heart attack and have spent several months getting back on my feet and able to sit long enough to do some work on my FAGs and Ancestry. I'm on the mend now, and hope I stay this way.
I so appreciate your help in helping me connect with family.

Memorial #65779861 that you created then transferred to another person, is a duplicated see the original memorial for him 22464574. I'm writing you because you are the only one that can have it deleted since you created it.

I haven't gotten it all done yet. We do have the bulk of Sunfish, however those are on findagrave, but not all 88.
The other two across from where the county home once was is still a work in progress. Namely coming from account ledgers for funeral expenses, etc, and obituaries. The earliest burials for the county home were at Rivercliff in the pauper section in the mid to late 1870s, it's anyone's guess what the pauper section at Rivercliff was?

Thank you for the transfer....was very kind of you and Thank you for all the work you do for findagrave.

Thanks for the transfer. I'm slowly compiling the names of the burials for the County Home at this site. They won't be in the tombstone inscriptions book.....yet.
There are two rows of 44 graves per row at Sunfish that were for the county home.
